"Thou sawest till that a stone (knowledge of God, kingdom of David) was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon its feet that were of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces" (Dan. 2:35,44, 1 Sam. 17:49, Isaiah 11:9, Hab. 2:11-14). The lands of the Roman Empire came to be dominated by Edom and Ishmael, represented by Christianity and I-slam. Both – one as strong as iron, the other as weak as pottery, comprise the latter day, "Fourth Kingdom" (Abarnel); Daniel Ch. 7.
”David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine” (1 Samuel 17:48): ”If a camp encamps against me, my heart shall not fear; if a war should rise up against me, in this I trust (Psalms 27:1-6): That “The Lord is the stronghold of my life.” ”I will not fear ten thousands of people, who have set themselves against me all around” (Psalms 3:7).
”You shall break them with an iron rod; like a potter's vessel you shall shatter them. "And now, [you] kings, be wise; be admonished, [you] judges of the earth." Rashi comments that the Psalm alludes to the encounter between the nations and the Messiah. The Jewish prophets are merciful people. They reprove the heathens to turn away from their evil, for the Holy One, blessed be He, extends His hand to the wicked and to the righteous (Psalms 2:9-10).
”The staff of your might the Lord will send from Zion; rule (in the war, safely) in the midst of your enemies” (Psalms 110:2).
”All nations surrounded me; in the name of the Lord that I shall cut them off. They encircled me, yea they surrounded me; in the name of the Lord that I shall cut them off. They encircled me like bees; they were extinguished like a thorn fire; in the name of the Lord that I shall cut them off” (Psalms 118:10-12, Isaiah 17:12-14, Psalms 83). This speaks about the war of Gog and Magog, when all the nations will be there, as it is said (Zech. 14:2): “And I shall gather all the nations to Jerusalem to wage war.”
Why? "they shall come and they shall see My glory" (Isaiah 66:18-19, Zech. 14:12). "And I will reveal Myself in My greatness and in My holiness and will be recognized in the eyes of many nations, and they will know that I am the Lord" (Ezekiel 38:23).
God’s Hidden Face: ”And I shall publicize My glory among the nations, and all the nations will see My judgement (the punishment, justice) that I performed and My hand that I place upon them. And the House of Israel will know that I am the Lord their God from that day on.
And the nations will know that for their iniquity the House of Israel was exiled, because they betrayed Me, and I hid My face from them (See Deut. 31:16-18, 32:20-21), and I delivered them into the hands of their adversaries, and they all fell by the sword...” (Ezekiel 39:21-24).
God taught them the Torah, the Instruction on how to live and how to behave, a good way, which they deviated from.
”Therefore, so said the Lord God: Now I shall return to the captivity of Jacob, and I shall have compassion on the House of Israel, and I shall be zealous for My Holy Name. And they shall bear their disgrace and all their treachery that they committed against Me when they dwell on their land securely with no one frightening them” (Ezekiel 39:25-26, 34:23-31, Lev. 26:1-9, Isaiah 54:10).
”Even though many of the ingathered Jewish inhabitants of the land are still far from the Torah, if God has fulfilled His promise to bring them back physically, He will in the end surely fulfill His promise to bring them back spiritually” (Rabbi Avraham ben Yaakov, Ezek. 36:24-24,
”When I return them from the peoples and gather them from the lands of their enemies, I SHALL BE SANCTIFIED THROUGH THEM BEFORE THE EYES OF MANY NATIONS... And I shall no longer hide My face from them, for I shall have poured out My spirit RUACH upon the House of Israel," says the Lord God” (Ezekiel 39:27-29).
”And I will put My spirit RUACH within you and bring it about that you will walk in My statutes and you will keep My ordinances and do [them]” (Ezekiel 36:27,
37:21-28, See also Isaiah 32:15-18, 48:17-19, Deut. 6:24-25
). It is in this way the God of Israel will ”publicize His glory and His kindness among the nations” (Ezekiel 39:21).

”... it was harder when the day of liberation came... because then we saw morover the destruction all around us and nontheless that nothing had changed, the world continues to move its course... God’s hidden face is as it always was, we found nothing different in the world.” (Rabbi Chaim Alter Ratte, ”To Bear Witness, Holocaust Remembrance at Yad Vashem”).
Many Jews who emerged from the camps, forests and hideouts and returned to their homes, were met by a hostile reception by the local population who was afraid that the Jews would demand restitution of their homes and property they had stolen. Many surviving Jews were attacked, murdered or injured in Pogroms in the months after the liberation. Overall, the few who emerged from the inferno hurriedly left Europe. Some launched a resolute struggle to immigrate to the Land of Israel and establish themselves in the national homeland.
May God in the immediate future ”pour out His spirit RUACH upon all flesh” (Joel 3:1). TORAH FOR THE NATIONS: The Beauty of Diversity By Rabbi Avraham ben Yaakov
On Lag Ba'Omer traditionally, the children play with bows and arrows: Psalm 45:6 "
Your arrows are sharpened, nations shall fall under you, in the heart of the king's enemies." The passage speaks of arrows. The scholar’s weapons are the Torah insights. Their sharpness guarantees their effectiveness in penetrating the listener’s heart (Rabbi Yitzchok Rubin).
As a reward for Torah, nations shall fall under Israel (Rashi).
Psalms 45:4-5 "Gird a sword on your thigh, O mighty one, your majesty and your glory (
to wage the war of Torah, and that is your majesty and that is your glory (Rashi).
And your glory is that you will pass and ride for the sake of truth and righteous humility, and it shall instruct you so that your right hand shall perform awesome things."
A Call for Ecological and Spiritual Lag B’Omer: Rabbis and environmentalists are urging Jews to focus on the meaning of Lag B’Omer instead of the dangerous bonfires that cause pollution. The holiday begins after sundown Wednesday.
The term “Lag B’Omer" refers to the 33rd day of the counting of the Omer, “Lag” being the combination of two Hebrew letters whose numerical equivalent is 33. The Counting of the Omer each year has a deeper meaning. It is a reminder of the spiritual route the Israelites ascended from slavery in Egypt to the foot of Mount Sinai in order to receive the Torah on Shavuot.
Another significance of Lag B’Omer is that it is the day on which a plague ended after killing 24,000 students of Rabbi Akiva because they did not show proper respect to each other. Tradition states that after the death of his students, Rabbi Akiva taught only five disciples, one of them being Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Meron is the burial site of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai, who was known for his mystical insights into the Torah and who died on Lag B’Omer. The “Rashbi,” as he is known, told his students that Lag B’Omer should be celebrated to commemorate mystical teachings.
"We tend to see people getting caught up in the details instead of what really matters, and turning visits to tombs into the main event while at the same time continuing to do wrong,” Rabbi Ratzon Amrousi told Arutz Sheva.
“We need to remember his teachings, which were based on ‘love your fellow man as yourself,’ love between people and between man and G-d,” he added.
The fires are supposed to be a reminder of the spiritual light revealed by the Rashbi. On the day of his death, Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai said, "Now it is my desire to reveal secrets... The day will not go to its place like any other, for this entire day stands within my domain" (INN,
Leviticus 19:18 ”...thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.”
R’ Akiva said that this is the fundamental rule of the Torah (Rashi; Sifra). Hillel paraphrased the commandment, saying, ”What is hateful to you, do not do to others” (Shabbos 31a). The Sages based a variety of rules on this verse, illustrating the sort of sensivity that is demanded of all Jews.
R’ Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Kopitchinitz used to say that the commandment to love your fellows does not mean to love saintly and righteous people-it is impossible not to love such people. God commands us to love even people whom it is hard to love.
"And these you shall consider an abomination amongst the birds, they shall not be eaten; they are detestable ... and the stork" (Leviticus 11:13,19). The Talmud (Chulin 63a) states that the Hebrew name for the white stork is CHASIDA, because it acts with kindness, chesed, towards its friends.
The Ramban, Moshe Nachmanides, a great Torah scholar, writes that the birds enumerated in this portion are forbidden for consumption because of their cruelty. Why, then, should the stork be considered "detestable" and an "abomination"? It should be permissible since it does kindness! The Chidushai Ha-Rim answers: The stork does favors only for its friends. Since it doesn't do chesed for strangers, it is considered not kosher. Chesed, kindness, must be done for everyone, not only one's friends!
(Rabbi Zelig Pliskin).
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him bread (of Torah), and if he is thirsty, give him water (of Torah) to drink; for you will be scooping coals on his head, and the Lord will reward you (YeShalem-Lach)" (Proverbs 25:21-22). If you are good to your enemy, he will be ashamed of his behavior toward you, and God will cause him to make peace (Shalom) with you. See

Security Officials: Elections Won't Affect Iran Policy: Senior security officials said Wednesday that early elections will have no impact on Israel’s decision on whether to strike Iranian nuclear sites.
Former IDF chiefs of staff, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Minister of Strategic Affairs Moshe Yaalon (Likud), issued statements on Wednesday that the Jewish state’s policy toward Iran will be based solely on strategic interests.
Israel – like the United States, its European allies, and Gulf Arab states – believe Iran is conducting nuclear work with military applications (INN, 5/2/2012).
If he (the wicked) does not repent, He will whet His sword; He has trodden His bow and made it ready. And He has prepared deadly weapons for him; He will make arrows for pursuers” (Psalms 7:13-14, Ch. 94). ”He turned upon them their own violence, and with their own evil He will cut them off (Or silence); Hashem, our God, will cut them off (Or silence)” (Psalms 94:23, measure for measure; Esther 9:25, Psalms 7:17, Ch. 140).
Netanyahu: Israel Needs a Leader with Experience: Prime Minister kicks off election campaign in Likud convention, lists his government's achievements. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu kicked off the election campaign Sunday in a speech at the Likud convention in Tel Aviv, in which he took credit for making people feel safer in Israel (INN, 5/6/2012).
Feel safer? As in the days of Nebuchadnezzar... It was 'the ambassadors of peace,'
who deceived the people, lulling them into complacency with their promises of peace, with the result that the people did not repent, laying themselves open to disastrous consequences" (See Rabbi A. Greenbaum on Jer. 4:10, Isaiah 33:7, Ezek. 20:32-33 at Azamra.org). PM Halts Anti-Assimilation Campaign Aimed at Israelis in the US: That warned former Israelis of the dangers of assimilation (INN, 12/3/2011). Over 50% assimilation in the 1930's, wiped out 6 million Jews - now we are close to 60%.
Psalm 18 is a Psalm of David, who spoke unto the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul.
"At the brightness before Him, there passed through His thick clouds hailstones and coals of fire. The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High gave forth His voice; hailstones (TRUTH) and coals of fire. (see Proverbs 25:21-22).
And He sent out His arrows, and scattered them; and He shot forth lightnings, and discomfited them. He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, and from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me." See also Job 38:22-23, Ezekiel 38:22-23.
"My honor which is with me will be renewed, and my bow (strength) will become stronger in my hand. They listened to me and waited, and kept silence for my counsel.., and my speech would drip upon them. And they waited for me as for rain,.." (Job 29:20-21, Deut 32:1-2). God made Job a fountain of wise counsel and leadership, guiding his people through darkness (oppression) with the light of God's Torah (Job 29:3, Prov. 6:23, Isaiah 60:1-4, 58:7-14).
"Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a fountain;.. The archers (his brothers; Ephraim, Psalms 78:9-11) have dealt bitterly with him, and shot at him, and hated him; But his bow abode firm, and the arms of his hands were made supple, by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, thence, from the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel," (Gen. 49:22-26, Deut 33:13-17).
Joseph rose to prominence despite the hatred he suffered; His brothers and Potiphar and his wife all embittered him and became antagonists. People with arrowlike tongues – a Scriptural allusion to purveyors of malicious slander and gossip – dealt bitterly with Joseph, but, by the grace of God he rose to prominence despite them (Rashi).
"For I bend Judah for Me like a bow I filled [the hand of] Ephraim, and I will arouse your children, O Zion, upon your children, O Javan; and I will make you as the sword of a mighty man. And the Lord shall appear over them, and his arrows shall go forth like lightning..."
As in the days when Judah waged war against the Greeks in the days of the Hasmoneans, so Judah will wage war against Edom; the divided kingdom, repr. by Rome-Ishmael (Daniel 2:41). Zech. 9:13-17 is thus a prophecy of how God will save Israel from Gog & Magog.
PA Prisoners Promise Riots Unless They Get What They Want:
Arab security prisoners in Israeli jails say they will stop drinking water unless Israel capitulates to their demands. Terrorists and security prisoners being held in Israeli jails will riot unless their demands are met immediately, MK Jamal Zahalka threatened Saturday night. The MK spoke at a demonstration in Jaffa in support of security prisoners who are on a hunger strike demanding that Israel end the practice of administrative detention, and allow them more family visits (INN, 5/12/2012).
Three Fundamental Mistakes in Dealing with Islam
By Daniel Greenfield:
When a psychiatrist rewards rats for finishing a maze, is it the psychiatrist who is training the rats to finish mazes, or the rats who are training him to give them cheese. The answer to that question hinges on who controls the experiment. While we thought that we were experimenting on the Muslim world to make them more moderate, they were actually experimenting on us to teach us to appease them.
While we were trying to force the Muslim world into our maze with two openings, one labeled 'extreme' and one labeled 'moderate', they were really moving us into their meta-maze with two openings, 'death' or 'appeasement'. Our plan was to keep forcing them to choose the moderate openings in order to moderate them and break them of any attachment to terrorism. But our chief method for moving them there was appeasement.
Once we got bogged down in Iraq, appeasement became our only method. While we thought that we were leading them to the moderate opening in our maze by appeasing them, they were leading us to the appeasement opening in their maze. The rats turned out to be training the psychiatrist and they have done an excellent job of it.
The Muslim world is more Anti-American than it was 10 years ago, while we are more pro-Muslim. Each time they finish the moderate maze and assure us how peaceful Islam is, we gift them with the cheese of appeasement. Rather than teaching them to be moderate using the reward of our appeasement, they have taught us to appease them using the reward of their faked moderation. Like tourists at the souk, we have been cheated badly by laying out good money for a fake rug. But worse than that we have been turned into rats in their maze, rushing to appease them in the hopes that they will reward us by being moderate.
Pavlov demonstrated that once you teach dogs to associate a ringing bell with a meal, they will salivate when you ring the bell even when there is no food. So too rats will keep running the maze even when there is no cheese. So too governments continue appeasing Islam, even when the promised cheese of moderation fails to yield any significant changes on the ground. A plot broken up here or there. Or even a mosque that opens its doors to the FBI or Scotland Yard is enough for them. But is it the FBI that is teaching Muslims to be more cooperative, or Muslims who are teaching the FBI to be more accommodating. Who is the psychiatrist and who is the rat?
By initiating violence, the Muslim world turned us into their rats. We reacted to their stimuli as we desperately looked for a way out of their maze of violence. Except when we took the initiative by attacking them-- the locus of control was always in their hands. And even when we did take their initiative, it was still in response to their violence. We were still making war on their terms. Trying to work with them, reform them, reach them and appease them. We were running the maze and still are. Starving to death still searching for the cheese which isn't there.
All this drives the flywheel of appeasement round and round. The more we turn it, the worse the violence becomes. The capacity for terrorism made Muslims prominent. They have become ticking time bombs we are driven to defuse. We shower the Muslim world with respect, money, political power and every possible thing that might keep them from killing us. It is absolutely vital in the minds of our leaders that we make them like us so that they won't kill us. Which means that it actually is in their interest to kill us. Rather than rewarding them for their moderation, we are actually rewarding them for their extremism.
The more we appease them, the more violent they become..."

Starved of the Truth: New York Times Fails its Readers (Honest Reporting, May 7, 2012): ”Some 320 of the prisoners are held in “administrative detention”, a measure imposed by the Israeli military and which it defends as a means to avoid exposing confidential sources in court” (Reuters).
”An Israeli foreign ministry spokesman, Yigal Palmor, told CNN that these Islamic Jihad members “were arrested for their direct involvement in promoting terror” and suggested that administrative detention constituted “the only available means to thwart the danger” the men posed to Israel” (CNN).
”Israeli officials say they use administrative detention to hold Palestinians who pose an immediate threat to the country’s security. They say they keep the evidence secret from lawyers and the accused, because it would expose their intelligence-gathering networks if it was released” (Al-Jazeera).
The Arabs and those who support the PA/Hamas turn a blind eye to atrocities perpetuated by the 'Palestinian' governing bodies. Indicating that its not the welfare of the prisoners that is important - but to expose Jews to absurd accusations which can lead to attempts to wipe them out.
Islamic Jihad: Death of Hunger Strikers Will Start Intifada (INN, 5/7/2012). Abbas: Death of Hunger Striking Prisoners Will Launch 'Disaster' : If anyone dies today or tomorrow or in a week, it will be a disaster and no one will be able to control the situation,” Abbas warned (INN, 5/7/2012).
Iranian Texts Preach Jihad to Canadian Students: Teaching materials of a Toronto Islamic school, under investigation for its anti-Semitic and pro-jihad curriculum, came from Iran. The teaching materials of a Toronto-based Islamic school, which is currently undergoing investigation for its anti-Semitic and pro-jihad curriculum, were originally published by Iranian organizations, records show.
The other book, which likens the Jews to the Nazis, was published by the Mostazafan Foundation of New York, which the U.S. alleges was a front organization for the Iranian government. Jewish organizations expressed outrage upon learning that such hateful texts, originating from a regime bent on Israel’s destruction, had found their way into the Canadian school’s curriculum (INN, 5/10/2012).

Now, Turkey is claiming it caught a bird with “unusually large nostrils” spying for Israel. According to Yediot Aharonot, which broke the latest installment of Israel’s conquest of the animal kingdom for intelligence purposes, a farmer spotted a dead bird with a ring bearing the word “Israel” on it’s leg. While that would be suspicious enough, it wasn’t what drew the attention of Turkish authorities. Apparently, it was the fact that the bird had a particularly big nose (Honest Reporting).
Iranian Calls for 'Islamic Awakening' to Destroy Israel: Iranian official calls for an ‘Islamic Awakening’ movement to help PA Arabs “demolish the Zionist regime” The first speaker at the conference, according to IRNA, was the PA Ambassador in Tehran, Salah Zawawi, who said that the one and only way to soothe the Arabs’ pains and agony is the annihilation of the Zionist regime. “Turning the Palestinians into homeless people is a Zionist-western plot to enable the illegal Zionist immigrants to settle down at our ancestors’ motherlands, over the ruins of our homes,” he said (INN, 5/17/2012).

The leaders of the nations and the world media campaign to demonize Israel and its people continues its course... Austrian Minister: Lieberman is 'Unbearable': Austrian Defense Minister Norbert Darabos lashed out against Israel this weekend, criticizing the country’s threats against Iran’s nuclear ambitions and calling Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman “unbearable.” “Mr. Liberman is unbearable for me as a member of the Israeli government,” Darabos said in an interview with the Austrian newspaper Die Presse.
He continued to state that an Israeli military strike against Iranian nuclear facilities would be “superfluous,” claiming that “Iran is not yet able to build a [nuclear] bomb” and that “Israel’s threats are therefore dispensable.”
“An Israeli attack on Iran would set the region ablaze in a way that could not be contained,” he said, adding that a preemptive military strike would only serve to foster sympathies for the Islamic regime in the Arab world and within the international community (INN, 5/20/2012).
