The Obama administration appeared to back away from measures that would have real impact - such as a Treasury ban on transactions with Iran's central bank.
The administration is wary that, by effectively shutting down Iran's oil exports, it would provoke a spike in energy prices that would damage the fragile global economy.
If Iran is to be stopped without the use of military force, the president, and the country, should be willing to bear some economic pain.
The alternative - allowing Tehran to go forward - would be far more costly (Running Out of Time to Stop Iran's Nuclear Program, Washington Post).
Leading Economist: World Will Accept Nuclear Iran:
Amir Kahanovich of Clal Finance says world leaders will balk at the costs of striking Iran's nuclear program (INN, 11/14/2011).
U.S. urges Asia to help save global economy: The United States urged Asia (China, Japan) Thursday to do more to stimulate global growth to offset the eurozone crisis,.. (Japan Today, Nov. 11, 2011). Considering that much of the (US) debt is already being held by communist China; this means that China which is opposed to new sanctions on Iran, will have a huge amount of power over USA and European economies and affects USA and European governments from acting independently without fearing China's reaction.
NOTHING HAS REALLY CHANGED:
US Fears Israeli Strike on Iran: The United States fears that Israel may be preparing a strike on Iran over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program, a senior military official said on Friday according to CNN.
The senior official said that Washington was "absolutely" concerned about a potential Israeli attack (INN 11/5/2011).
Panetta sounds warning on military action against Iran over its growing nuclear ambitions: “You’ve got to be careful of unintended consequences here... sounding the administration’s strongest reservations about a strike... And those consequences could involve not only not really deterring Iran from what they want to do, but more importantly, it could have a serrious impact on U.S. forces in the region,” Panetta said (Washington Post, Nov. 10). Allowing Tehran to go forward with its nuclear ambitions - will have far more serious consequences.
US: Strike on Iran could hurt world economy:
United States Defense Secretary Leon Panetta says military option could have unintended consequences on global financial interests, urges to use diplomatic pressure, sanctions to try curb Islamic Republic's nuclear program.
US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta said he would raise American concerns about the unintended consequences of any military action against Iran during talks with his Israeli counterpart Ehud Barak on Friday, including its potential impact on the world economy (Ynet News,
The world economy will collapse regardless of a strike on Iran, it is only a question of time.
In the words of Iran's President M. Ahmadinejad, "Western-style capitalism is falling apart, marking the end of the age of Imperialism," Ahmadinejad also said the new world order should be less US-centric. "Washington's many political and economic woes show that its judgment can no longer be trusted," he explained (Ahmadinejad stresses need for a new world order: PressTV, Tue, 16 Jun 2009).
And he is absolutely correct in his observations.
'If Algeria introduced a resolution in the UN, declaring that the earth was flat and that Israel had flattened it, it would pass by a vote of 164 to 13 with 26 abstentions' (Abba Eban).
How convenient it would be to blame the collapse of the world's economy on Israel...
France Nixes Military Strike on Iranian Nukes: France has nixed the idea of a military strike against Iran's nuclear plants. France has ruled out the military option in dealing with the Iranian

latest report by the United Nations' International Atomic Energy Agency
made it clear that Iran is intent on creating such a weapon (INN, 11/15/2011).
Saudi Prince Warns Israel Not to Attack Iran: Saudi Prince Turki al-Faisal warned an attack on Iran's nuclear program would only strengthen Tehran's resolve. Turki al-Faisal said Monday a military attack on Iran aimed at halting its nuclear program could have catastrophic consequences – and would only strengthen Tehran's determination to continue nuclear progress.
"Such an act I think would be foolish and to undertake it I think would be tragic," the Saudi prince said. "If anything it will only make the Iranians more determined to continue nuclear progress. It will rally support for the government among the population, and it will not end the program. It will merely delay it if anything," he said.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged the US is considering arming Qatar with huge bunker buster bombs, raising the possibility of an American-Israel-Arab attack on Iran (INN, 11/16/2011).
Will Iran Deny the U.S. Its Persian Gulf Bases?
In Bahrain, where a majority of the Arab population is Shia, the foreign minister announced in August that Bahrain would not allow its territory to be used as a base for offensive operations. Last week, Qatar hosted a visit by three Iranian warships and a military delegation. In August, Oman signed a defense-cooperation agreement with Iran and is now more likely to deny the use of its airfields and port refueling facilities to American forces (J. E. Dyer, Commentary, 12/28/2010).
Iran, Qatar sign defense cooperation agreement
: The Iranian Defense Ministry’s strategy is to expand defense cooperation with the littoral states of the Persian Gulf, Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi said (Teheran Times, February 25, 2010).
"By refusing to directly confront Iran’s provocations,
the US has become the Islamic Republic’s key ally in its march toward a nuclear bomb. Instead, Washington will continue to wage clandestine operations against Tehran—like killing Iranian nuclear scientists and sabotaging Iranian centrifuges with a computer worm. None of those operations will stop the Islamic Republic from getting the bomb—rather, that secret war, presumably conducted in tandem with Israel, is meant only to deter the Jewish state from attacking Iran in earnest" (Looming Threat, Tablet, October 19, 2011 ).
Israel refuses to tell US its Iran intentions: Israel has refused to reassure President Barack Obama that it would warn him in advance of any pre-emptive strike on Iran's nuclear capabilities,.. The US leader was rebuffed last month when he demanded private guarantees that no strike would go ahead without White House notification, suggesting Israel no longer plans to "seek Washington's permission", sources said (The Telegraph, 12 Nov 2011).
Attack Iran's Moral Foundations, Peres Tells CNN:
Iran is morally corrupt and spoiled, President Shimon Peres tells CNN. “An attack on its moral foundations is needed.” (INN, 11/15/2011).
Iran's moral foundation is Islam and Shariah Law.
Iran: Missile Base Blast Not Caused by Israel or U.S.
: Iran has insisted that an explosion that killed the architect of its missile program was not carried out by Israel or the U.S. Iran's armed forces joint chief of staff, Maj.-Gen. Hassan Firouzabadi, said: "The recent incident and blast is not related to Israel or America." He added that the explosion has disrupted the production of "a very important product." It is believed that the Alghadir base is a depot for Iran's Shahab-3 missiles, which have a range of 1,200 miles, making them capable of reaching Israel. (Guardian-UK).
Speaking of Blast, Iranian Describes Work on Weapons: The explosion occurred while researchers were working on weapons capable of delivering Israel a "strong punch in the mouth" and disrupted their project by a few days, the Iranian military chief of staff said Wednesday. “This recent event and explosion had no relation to either Israel or America,” the Iranian chief of staff was quoted as saying by the Iran Students’ News Agency. “Except for the fact that the product of the research done at this facility would have delivered a strong punch in the mouth of Israel and its occupying regime.”
He was further quoted as saying “that research will have a short-term delay of a few days, but definitely the forces and compatriots of Martyr Hassan Tehrani Moghaddam will continue on that path and the product of his life’s efforts will be a punch in the mouth of Israel” (New York Times).

VIDEO: ‘World Must Stop Iran before It’s Too Late’
The world must see the IAEA report for what it is and stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons before it is too late, says Netanyahu (INN, 11/13/2011).
Why is PM Netanyahu calling on the nations of the world; to stop Iran's race to arm itself with a nuclear weapon before it is too late?
Too late for whom?
Because he knows very well that Zechariah 12:9, Jeremiah 30:7-11, Isaiah 24:1-6 and dozens of other old prophecies that speak of the destruction of the nations of the world at the end of this era is about to materialize. However, we learn from the prophets Joel Ch. 2, Jonah Ch. 3 and Isaiah 55 that repentance can cause God to turn around the harsh decree and convert it into a blessing (Genesis 12:3).
WORTH LISTENING TO: Why Intercede for Sodom?
Avraham knew that we cannot ever give up on humanity.” A deep and thought provoking analysis of Parshat Vayera's issues by Rabbi Chaim Richman (INN).
Tzefaniah 2:6-10 says that the nations are punished for their arrogant taunting of Israel and because "they have magnified themselves against their border" (v 8). Metzudas David explains the latter phrase to mean that "they took from the land of Israel to expand and add to their own boundaries". This is exactly what the Arab nations sought to do in 1948, 1967 and 1973 etc. and are still trying to do today - not without the tacit support of the British, who had already subtracted vast chunks of territories from the lands they originally promised in 1917 as the Jewish national homeland and handed them to their Arab protégées. V 11: The destruction of the nations and their gods will bring them to fear HaShem.
White House links Iran nukes to Palestinian state:
Israel now faces a moment of truth - it can either acquiesce to international demands and in return have its most serious threats dealt with, or maintain the status quo and have those threats persist (Israel Today, May 04, 2009). Obama about to betray Israel, says former US intel official (Israel Today, Mar 19, 2009). Report: Obama leverages Iran to extract Israeli concessions (Aug 2, 2009, Israel Today). King Abdullah: Jordan Was Better Off without Peace with Israel (INN, 04/06/10).
The "two-state solution" has long been
the fundamental basis for seeking a peaceful resolution,
but one accepted only by the Israeli government, not by the Arab world. Successive Israeli governments, including the current one have in direct contradiction to the truth even agreed to acknowledge the existence of a "distinct Palestinian people" - one entitled to self-determination, to a homeland, political independence and to armed security forces in the land of Israel - the opposite of what the Mandate of Palestine recommended.
So, while the nations also blame Israel for the stalled "peace process," Abbas & Co continue to refuse to recognize Israel as the Jewish state and to renew the "peace negotiations," threatening US and the West if PA-Israel talks fails---all this while Iran continues undisturbed their work towards their nuclear goal. Whether it be Sunni, Shiite, Wahabi, radical, fanatical or moderate Islam--despite the differences in belief and rituals---they all have a common goal--world domination by Islam and the establishment of the Islamic Caliphate in Jerusalem.
Iran Signals Its Readiness for a Final Confrontation: Since the publication of the November 2011 IAEA report,.. senior figures of the Iranian regime and the state-run media have begun to use threatening and defiant language toward Israel and the U.S. Iran, as its president said, is preparing for the "final confrontation." Are we? (Lt.-Col. (ret.) Michael Segall, jcpa.org).
Miracles and Loving Kindness by Moshe Kempinski:
Abraham is recuperating from his circumcision and yet when he sees three travelers in the distance, he invites them into his tent and begins frantic preparations to feed them. "And Avraham hastened to the tent to Sarah, and he said, "Hasten three seah of meal [and] fine flour; knead and make cakes." "And to the cattle did Abraham run, and he took a calf, tender and good, and he gave it to the youth, and he hastened to prepare it" (Genesis 18:6-7).
Performing a Mitzvah without delay:
"The Gemara states
a principal that if one comes upon a mitzvah he must perform that mitzvah without delay. Therefore a Jew must always be "on call", in a state of readiness, to perform a mitzvah at any given time when it presents itself regardless of the situation" (Rabbi Yosef Kalatsky).
"And Moses hastened
bowed his head
to the ground and prostrated himself, and said: "If I have now found favor in Your eyes, O Lord, let the Lord go now in our midst even if they are a stiff necked people, and You shall forgive our iniquity and our sin and thus secure us as Your possession" (Ex. 34:8-9, 33:16). Moses hastened to bow, in token of his complete subjugation to God (Rashi, Sforno).
Moses request that God make him and Israel a special possession, distinguished and separated from every other nation
(as written in the book of Daniel Chs. 2, 7).
And it came to pass,
when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine. And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone (knowledge of God), and slung it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead; and the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell upon his face to the earth" (1 Samuel 17:49-49, Daniel 2:35, Habakkuk 2:11,13-14, Isaiah 11:9, Jeremiah 31:32-33).
"Avraham, without a moment's hesitation,
acts upon G-d's commandment: "And Avraham arose early in the morning, and he saddled his donkey, and he took his two young men with him and Yitzchak his son; and he split wood for a burnt offering, and he arose and went to the place of which G-d had told him" (Gen. 22:2-3). Abraham did not delay. He woke up early in the morning... He hastened to perform the commandment (Pes. 4a).
”Today we witness world leaders hesitating
and endlessly deliberating over whether the west, let alone Israel, should militarily destroy Iran's nuclear facilities before the fanatical Islamic regime gains nuclear weapons capabilities. Could a situation possibly exist in which the moral imperative to do right in order to prevent a horrible evil from occurring be any clearer? Still, serious men dither and become distracted by issues that pale in light of the seriousness of the threat of a nuclear Iran” (Yitzchak Reuven, Temple Institute).
Contrasting Avraham, Sodom, and Israel in 5772:
We learn from the parsha the contrast between Avraham Aveinu’s chesed with the cruelty of the city of Sodom (By Moshe Burt):
The sefer, “The Midrash Says” (Parsha Vayeira, pages 165-177) offers additional antidotes on the cruelty and depravation of the people of Sodom; that hospitality, that kindness was outlawed and justice was absurd and non-existent in Sodom.
“The Midrash Says” cites the Sodomite constitution which included the following laws; 1/ Any stranger found in the vicinity may be robbed of his money and mal-treated. 2/ It is the duty of a Sodomite judge to ensure that every wayfarer leaves the country penniless.
3/ Anyone found handing food to a pauper or stranger will be put to death. 4/ Anyone who invites strangers to a wedding will be punished by having all of his clothing removed from his body...”
"The Sodomite PA constitution:" PA Court: Death Penalty
for Selling Land to Jews: Dozens of PA Arabs have been executed without trial in the past for collaborating with Israel by selling land to Jews. One Arab, M. Abu al-Hawa, was tortured and murdered in 2006 for allegedly selling an apartment building in Jerusalem to Jews. (INN, 9/20/2010). Ramallah Lynch Butcher to be Freed: The Israeli government is freeing the terrorist who gleefully waved his bloody hands after the lynch of two soldiers after they inadvertently entered Ramallah (INN, 10/16/11).
In every nation, throughout history the Jewish people
as "the strangers, wayfarers, the poor and the needy" - among us, have been treated according to the "Sodomite constitution". In Europe, during the II WW it was death penalty for anyone hiding or helping Jews escape.
Today we experience demonization of the Jewish people
and those who support them: "Left-leaning evangelical scholars have demonized fellow Christians for supporting Israel,.. “In this document the authors claim, amongst other things, that Christian Zionists are not only sinful but produce sin and will be the cause of any upcoming war against Israel including a nuclear attack by Iran,..” (ICEJ Response to 'Open Letter' to American Christian Zionists, int.icej.org, Sept. 19, 2011).
Genesis Chs. 18-22 (Vayeira) speaks about visiting the sick and hospitality to strangers
For I have known him, to the end that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice; to the end that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him (18:19)"
The contrast between Israel and Sodom.
The implication of verse 19 is that the seed of Sodom’s wickedness lay in its failure to abide by the principles that Abraham would inculcate in his offspring. The cruelties of Sodom have become part of the language as the epitome of selfishness, callousness and depravity (Ch. 19) but the root of their evil was greed...
Barak: World Should Join Hands and Sanction Iran:
Defense Minister Barak on PBS: It's clear that Iran is determined to go nuclear. The world must join hands and impose crippling sanctions (INN, 11/17/2011).
Government Tells Knesset: Everything on the Table Regarding Iran: Knesset plenum debates possible attack on Iran. Minister Eitan: "We will try to enlist international community, but…" MK Orlev said there is no real dilemma, "The state of Israel cannot allow itself to be under a nuclear threat by a country whose heads openly declare their intent to destroy us. We hope that the world will take care of the problem but our experience teaches us that we cannot trust the world. If the world does not act, we must not sit on our hands (INN, 11/16/2011).

Deut. 25:19 "Therefore, it will be, when the Lord your God grants you respite from all your enemies around you in the land which the Lord, your God, gives to you as an inheritance to possess, that you shall obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. You shall not forget!" "Against Your people they plot cunningly, and they take counsel against Your protected ones...The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites,.. and

An advisor to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu
has compared Netanyahu’s attitude towards Iran to the traditional Jewish view of Amalek, the ultimate enemy which must be destroyed. Thus Haman – from the seed of Amalek, who was Esau’s illegitimate grandson – attained power in Persia, and his descendants appear to have gained power in Iran today as well as over other groups that promote the killing of Jews (Hamas, Hezbullah, Islamic Jihad, etc).

France Irate Over IAF Gaza Air Strike:
France summoned Israel's ambassador Wednesday over Sunday's air strike in Gaza. Reason: the French consul's family lives there and got hurt. The IDF had retaliated against the Palestinian Authority terrorists who were raining mortar shells and rocket fire on cities and towns in southern Israel for days.
It turned out that the French consul, his wife and 13-year-old daughter were also living in the area where the targeted terrorists chose to hide. And all three were hit by flying shrapnel during Sunday's night air strike (INN, 11/17/2011).
It seems that the French became victims of the Hamas' war crime strategy of exploitation of civilians as human shields.
It might appear from a simple reading concerning the fate of Gaza (Tzefaniah 2:1-7 and Ezekiel 25:14-17) that this is only the entree. God will serve a rich repast of retribution (Isaiah 25). In the days of old, only through destruction of peoples, their lands and their gods these nations would know that HaShem rules. Today, we have the Tanakh with commentaries available on the Internet, which makes this knowledge possible.
Report: Arab Nations Pressing for Iran Strike:
According to intelligence reports Saudi Arabia and its Gulf Arab allies have been pushing the US to strike Iran by year's end (INN, 11/18/2011). Let the Arab nations strike Iran themselves.
Israel must not fall into the trap that the Saudis and Americans are setting for it...
"Iran to Surge to a Hegemonic Position in the Middle East Without a Major War" (FreeRepublic).
See also an interesting comment under the article by "G8 Diplomat:" "Iran has been too much of a pain in the rear for the Arab leaders and too much
of a threat to control of regional oil routes, plus the age-old Sunni-Shi’ite/Arab-Persian rivalry.
Of course, the Arabs hate Israel just as much as they hate Iran. Which is why they want Israel to strike Iran’s nuke facilities—that way Israel gets all the retaliation from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syria - and Iran loses its key (nukes) to regional hegemony.
It’s a win-win for the Arabs. That’s why FM Saud al-Faisal has been lobbying behind the scenes in DC to get the US to support an Israeli strike on Iran. That’s why the Saudis gave permission to Israel to use their airspace."
But the US do not support an Israeli strike on Iran... and they will not "impose truly disabling sanctions against Teheran."
Iran's Revolutionary Guards dare Israel to attack: Iran dares Israel to attack, because the retaliation would send the Jewish state to "the dustbin of history," a senior Revolutionary Guards commander said, according to the Fars news agency Monday. "Our greatest wish is that they commit such a mistake," the chief of the Guards' aerospatial division, Amir-Ali Hadjizadeh, was quoted as saying."For some time there has been a hidden energy we hope to expend to consign the enemies of Islam forever to the dustbin of history," he said. (AFP, YnetNews).
US, UK, Canada to announce new sanctions on Iran: Washington, London and Ottawa set to impose new, coordinated financial sanctions on Islamic Republic. Measures to exclude Tehran's Central Bank. Despite growing pressures to impose truly disabling sanctions on Tehran, it seems that Iran's Central Bank – as well as on Iran’s oil and gas sector – will be once again excluded from the current measures (Ynet News, 11.21.11).
The US too, are hoping for Israel to commit "such a mistake" - "...that way Israel gets all the retaliation from Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syria - and Iran loses its key to regional hegemony. It’s a win-win for the Arabs" and the US which will then be able to continue their regional hegemony...
What Happens 'The Day After' an Iranian Nuclear Attack? :
An Iranian attack on Israel will not necessarily be "the end," says historian Dr. Uri Milstein. Israel, he says, can face "the day after" (INN, 11/21/2011).
This Sidrah shows Jewish respect for the dead and concern for the future. These are essential concepts in Judaism, for we neither reject what has gone before nor neglect what lies ahead: "And all the people of the land shall bury them (Gog/Magog) and it shall be for them for a name..." (Ezekiel 39:13).
Genesis Chs. 23-25 (Chayei Sarah) speaks about Sarah's death and purchase of a burial site: the Cave of the field of Machpelah, Mamre, Hebron.
Also David made for himself a name when he buried the dead that were killed of Edom (2 Samuel 8:13) - just as the Israelites are destined to bury the fallen hordes of Gog and Magog in time to come.
All the nations will tell their praises and kindness, saying ''There is no other people who are as compassionate as this – can you find anyone who buries the very enemy that stood up against him to kill him?" (Rashi).
"It is a day, and he shall come up to you (Israel): those from Assyria and the fortified cities, and from the fortress up to the river and the sea from the west, and the dwellers of the mountain (Micha 7:12). The hoped-for day of redemption is in fact guarded and treasured by God as the day on which their enemies will come to destroy them (Rashi). And the land of the nations will become desolate (v 13), Tzefaniah 2, Obadiah, Ezekiel 25, 35.
"And it was when David was in Edom that Joab, the commander of the army had gone up to bury the slain, since he had slain every male in Edom" (1 Kings 11:15). Yonatan ben Uzziel translates it; "to strip the slain, to take their (priestly) clothing."

Iran Begs Israel to Attack and Be Buried:
"On that day, the Lord shall visit with His hard and great and strong sword on leviathan the barlike serpent, and upon leviathan the crooked serpent, and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea" (Isaiah 27:1). Nations, enemies are likened to serpents that bite (Psalm 58:4-6, 74:12-14, Amos 9:1-4, Micha 7:15-17), these sea-monsters represent different gentile kings and nations such as Gog and Magog, Edom-Rome. "So may we merit next year to sit in the Succah of the skin of the Leviathan" - just like Rebekah, who outsmarted Isaac and took Esau's beautiful clothes and dressed Jacob with them, for she knew that for the good of the entire world, it was vital that the blessings should go to Jacob.
