The Book of Life
The People of the Book: Refers to Jews, Christians, people of faiths, who have revelaled scriptures, For Muslims; the Koran is the completition, the final message. The problem here is that so-called Christian OT and the NT don't agree with the original Hebrew scripture. The Koran neither agree with the original Hebrew scriptures or the Christian scriptures, but the Islamic faith is based upon the Koran's twisted stories from the original Hebrew scriptures and the falsified Christian scriptures.

Many Muslims claim that Jews of today are not related to the Hebrews of the past-the people of the Torah and therefore they cannot accept the modern state of Israel and these Jews. But, during the thousands of years Jews have been attached to Israel, they still live according to the Torah, they have their own customs, observe the same holidays, they have their own language, calendar and they even have the same monetary unit.

Leviticus 23:23-25 ”And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying: Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest unto you, a memorial proclaimed with the blast of horns, a holy convocation. Ye shall do no manner of servile work; and ye shall bring an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” See also Numbers 29:1-6, Ezra Ch. 3, Nehemiah Chs. 7-8.

Rosh Hashanah is the first and second days of the first Jewish month of Tishrei. It marks the beginning of the Jewish new year. (Judaism has several different "new years").

Rosh Hashanah, The Jewish New Year 2011, Begins Wednesday Night, September 28-nightfall Sept. 30 followed immediately by Shabbat Shuva, the Sabbath of Repentance, and on Sunday by the Fast of Gedaliah ("the fast of the seventh", Zechariah 8:19). Rosh Hashanah is also the start of the Ten Days of Repentance which culminate with the solemn Fast of Yom Kippur on the tenth day of Tishrei. On the Sabbath of Repentance this Saturday, a special chapter (14:2-10) is read from the book of the prophet Hosea, calling the Jewish people to repent and return to G-d (INN,  9/28/2011).

The celebration of Rosh HaShanah is marked with solemnity, as it is the day on which the whole world is judged for the coming year. Rosh Hashanah is the birthday of the world, as it was on this day that G-d created Man on the 6th day of creation. Every year, on this day, we proclaim G-d as our one and true King.

Rosh Hashanah is the beginning of the Yamim Noraim, the ten days of atonement/repentance.
On Rosh Hashanah, all mankind is judged. HaShem writes the judgment for each of us in the Book of Life. This judgment is based on our lives of the year before, and is the decision of what will happen to us in the coming year.

But the judgment is not final. The days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur give us a time to change the judgment for good. We are given the chance to improve our coming year through Teshuvah (asking forgiveness), Tefillah (prayer), and Tzedakah (charity).

On Rosh Hashanah we wish each other "L'Shanah Tovah Tikatevuh" may you be written in (the Book of Life) for a good year. But Rosh HaShanah is not the end of the judgment, it is only on Yom Kippur  that our judgment is made final.

During the Musaf service on Rosh Hashanah a special prayer called U’netaneh Tokef is recited: “On Rosh Hashanah it will be written, and on the fast of Yom Kippur it will sealed – how many will pass [from the world], and how many will be created; who will live, and who will die; who is at his end, and who is not at his end; who by water, and who by fire; who by the sword, and who by wild beasts; who by hunger, and who by thirst; who by earthquake, and who by plague; who by strangulation, and who by stoning; who will stay in place, and who will be exiled; who will live peacefully, and who will endure tribulations; who will have tranquility, and who will suffer; who will become poor, and who will become rich; who will be lowered, and who will rise.”

Nobody with a pulse can hear these words and not be moved by this clear and frightening description of the judgment that takes place on Rosh Hashanah. To properly grasp the power of this prayer, however, we must be aware of its background:
Rosh Hashana- Our False Sense of Security
by Rabbi Eli Mansour).

Norway supports a Palestinian state. Anyone who support a "two state solution - in reality also support  the destruction of Israel.

Fatah Leader: Don't Tell the World We Want to Wipe Out Israel : Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah Central Committee, told Al-Jazeera on September 23, 2011: "The settlement [with Israel] should be based upon the borders of June 4, 1967. When we say that the settlement should be based upon these borders, President [Abbas] understands, we understand, and everybody knows that the greater goal cannot be accomplished in one go. If Israel withdraws from Jerusalem, evacuates the 650,000 settlers, and dismantles the wall - what will become of Israel? It will come to an end." "If we say that we want to wipe Israel out....C'mon, it's too difficult. It's not [acceptable] policy to say so. Don't say these things to the world. Keep it to yourself." (MEMR, Sept. 23, 2011).

Hosea 14:2-3 "Return, O Israel (Hebrew: Shuva Israel), unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast stumbled in thine iniquity. Take with you words, and return unto the LORD; say unto Him: 'Forgive all iniquity, and accept that which is good; so will we render for bullocks the offering of our lips." Hosea's divine message to the children of Israel is clear: Heartfelt prayer can replace any blood sacrifice. Christian Bible translators found this segment so problematic that they altered the last words of the text to read, "...that we may offer the fruit of our lips," thereby twisting and concealing the prophet's original message (From "Let's Get Biblical" by Rabbi Tovia Singer)

Hosea 3:4-5 reads, "...for the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim.  Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days."  In fact, the prophet foretold with divine exactness that the nation of Israel would not have a sacrificial system during the last segment of Jewish history until the messianic age.
Could Jesus' Death Atone For Any Kind of Sin?

Torah reading this Sabbath of return was also Joel 2:11-27 & Micah 7:18-20 that elaborate the Yom Kippur themes of repentance and forgiveness. Joel focuses on purification and fasting by the people and Micah on God's promise to forgive the people. "He will take us back in love, He will cover up our iniquities, You will hurl all our sins into the depths of the sea."

"Many  people are surprised to hear that the most financial support that Shuva Israel   receives is from Norway. In fact, Norway is Shuva Israel’s largest base of support. Why? Because Norway’s government is known as one of the most anti-Israel parliaments in Europe. This perhaps explains the outpouring of support for Israel among the Christian Evangelical community in Norway. Fearing that their government will bring God’s punishment to Norway, those that support Israel REALLY support Israel in high gear" (Eliezer Braun, Shuva Israel).

"Riches profit not in the day of wrath; but righteousness (TZEDAKAH, charity) delivereth from death" (Proverbs 11:4, 10:2). "Happy/blessed/fortunate is he that considereth the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of evil" (Psalms 41:2-4, Daniel 4:24).

Iran Threatens the US East Coast: Iran is threatening to send war ships to the East Coast of the United States in a major escalation with America (INN, 9/28/2011). Iranian Naval Vessels to Be Deployed Near U.S. Waters : Iranian Navy commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said on Tuesday that Iran plans to deploy naval vessels in the Atlantic Ocean near the maritime borders of the United States. "As the global arrogance (forces of imperialism) have a (military) presence near our sea borders, we also plan to have a strong presence near the U.S. sea borders," he said.

In addition, on Monday, commenting on the proposal for the establishment of a direct military hotline between the U.S. and Iran, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Navy, Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, said, "When we go to the Gulf of Mexico, we will establish direct communication with them. In the view of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the illegitimate presence of the U.S. in the Persian Gulf makes no sense"  (Tehran Times-Iran, 28 Sept. 2011).

Iran Threatens Turkey: Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's military advisor Yahya Rahim Safavi warned Turkey that if it does not change its "erroneous" policy towards Iran, its standing in the region will suffer, the Iranian news agency Mehr reported. According to the report, the top advisor said that if Anakara does not distance itself from its hostile attitude, which aims to please the United States, "The Turkish people will turn against it, and Syria, Iran and Iraq will reexamine their ties with it" (INN, 10/8/2011).

Clinton calls on world to 'pressure' Israelis, Palestinians : US secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday called on the world to "pressure" both Israel and the Palestinians in order to bring about the resumption of peace negotiations, AFP reported. Speaking at a joint press conference with her Egyptian counterpart, Mohamed Kamel Amr, Clinton said that "Egypt, the United States, the Quartet, everyone must be prepared to put pressure on both parties to try to move towards an agreement on outstanding issues."

Addressing the contentious issue of settlements and the Palestinians' insistence that talks cannot begin until Israel agrees to freeze construction in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, Clinton stated, "if there was an agreement on borders, there would be no debate on the settlements, because everyone would know which side of the border was Palestine, and which was Israel." The US secretary of state urged both parties to "put aside their misgivings and mistrust," and return to negotiations, saying "there is no alternative" (Jpost, ).

Clinton: Gilo Construction Counter-Productive to Peace : U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Tuesday: "We believe that this morning's announcement by the government of Israel approving the construction of housing units in east Jerusalem is counter-productive to our efforts to resume direct negotiations between the parties"  (JPost). EU "Deplores" Israel's Approval of New Settlements (Telegraph-UK).

Administration Refights the Battle of Gilo : Those who believed the Obama administration's attitude toward Israel has changed for the better got a rude wakeup call when Washington condemned the start of a housing project in Jerusalem. Gilo is no settlement. Built on the southern border of the city, it was established more than 40 years ago and is the home of approximately 40,000 residents of Israel's capital. Up until Barack Obama took office, it was not the subject of much comment by any previous administration. By seeking to force Israel to cease building houses in existing Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem, Obama has legitimized Palestinian demands for not only a re-division of the city but also their desire to evict the more than 200,000 Jews who live in those parts that were illegally occupied by Jordan between 1948 and 1967.

During the second intifada, Gilo was under constant murderous sniper fire from the nearby Arab village of Beit Jala. Despite murderous attacks for many months, the Jews of Gilo stood their ground. Gilo became one of many symbols of the courage of the Israeli people and their determination to hold onto Jerusalem. Building in Gilo - or any other part of Jerusalem - would have no effect on the creation of a Palestinian state if a peace deal should ever be signed. The only way homes in Gilo could be construed as an obstacle to peace is if the vision of peace being pursued is one in which every Jew is thrown out of much of Jerusalem. Despite the hopeful signs about a rapprochement between the administration and Israel during the debate in the UN, the president is still holding on to dangerous misconceptions about Jerusalem. (Commentary).

Netanyahu: Gilo is Not a Settlement: Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu rejects the criticism over the decision to build in Jerusalem’s Gilo neighborhood (INN, 9/28/2011).

Shomron - Jewish Holiday Emergency Appeal: While the international community is debating the future of Israel's heartland, Judea and Samaria, and those that hate Israel are plotting to take claim to our God given land. we, the communities of the Shomron (Hills of Ezekiel 36) are gearing up for Rosh Hashana and the period of Jewish holidays over the next three weeks.

Anti-Semitism And Jew Hatred Has No Limits: Video: Muslim Brotherhood Leader: "Every Israeli who enters Egypt--tourist or not--should be killed" Last month Dr. Salah Sultan, a member of Yusuf al-Qaradawi's International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) and the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, declared on al-Jazeera that the IUMS would restore the fatwa they issued in 1994, which stated that "every Zionist who enters Egypt--tourist or not--should be killed." (Europe News, 29 Sept. 2011). Both Norway and the Obama Administration have established relations with this group and regard this group as legitimate partners in the Egyptian political process.

U.S. Takes Out Al-Qaeda’s Al-Awlaki: U.S. troops have assassinated American-born hate preacher Anwar al-Awlaki, a senior member of Al Qaeda... Some civil rights groups criticized the strike as illegal. Awlaki was an American citizen, and as such, was protected by U.S. law from being put to death without trial, they said.

According to a report published Friday by the Washington Post, Awlaki’s assassination was approved by the Justice Department in a secret memorandum. “As a general matter, it would be entirely lawful for the United States to target high-level leaders of enemy forces, regardless of their nationality, who are plotting to kill Americans both under the authority provided by Congress in its use of military force in the armed conflict with al-Qaeda, the Taliban, and associated forces as well as established international law that recognizes our right of self-defense,” the paper quoted an official in the Obama administration as saying (INN, 10/1/2011).
Killing terrorist chieftains is legal : Alan M. Dershowitz (JPost - April 23, 2004). Dershowitz: Killing of bin Laden Just, Legal:  (Newsmax, 02 May 2011).

Last night hundered of leaders of the Shomron communities gathered at "Yakir" to lift a glass of blessings for the Jewish New Year. Shomron region director Gershon Mesika was joined by Rabbi Elyakim Levanon and Minister of Education Gidon Saar. Saar: Now Not the Time to Give In (INN, 9/23/2011).

Samaria Regional Council Governor, Gershon Mesika, informed the group of leaders of the great progress in the Shomron over this past year. We have become the fastest growing region in the country. The Jewish population in the Shomron is growing at the rate of 10% per year. Building of new classrooms and kindergartens are being constructed in all of our towns. We have held over 300 informational tours for elected world wide and Israel officials and media personalities.

Israel Formally Accepts Quartet Plan to Restart Talks with PA: The State of Israel has formally accepted a plan by the Quartet to restart final status negotiations with the Palestinian Authority. The Prime Minister's Office said in a statement issued Sunday that Israel “welcomes the Quartet's call for direct negotiations between the parties without preconditions, as called for by both President [Barack] Obama and by Prime Minister Netanyahu" in their respective speeches at the United Nations General Assembly. The PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, meanwhile, has since continued to call on the Quartet to immediately intervene with Israel to halt all Jewish construction in the  territories it demands for its hoped-for state, before it will consider a return to negotiations (INN, 10/2/2011). PA: Back to Talks Only with Freeze (INN, 10/2/2011).

From the Exodus out of Egypt, the Holocaust and to the War of Gog and Magog: (Exodus 15:9) " The enemy (the Egyptians) declared, ”I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide plunder; I will satisfy my lust with them. I will unsheathe my sword, my hand will impoverish them.” Blinded by greed and hatred the Egyptians disregarded caution and good sense to plunge into the sea - finally, when the entire Egyptian force was in the sea, the walls of congealed water collapsed upon them, and Egypt disappeared as a world power... See Job 38:22-30, 37:9-13, Psalm 147:12-20.

Isaiah 53:9 In the words of Rabbi Tovia Singer: "Through their dangerous exile, the Jewish nation have suffered martyrdom. Here the Almighty speaks: And he gave his grave to the wicked, and to the wealthy with his kinds of deaths (b’mosov), because he committed no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth.” As it has been done in former verses, the plural reference made into singular by Christian translators. The Hebrew word b’mosov is plural – and correct translated it means deaths” (many dead).  In the Christian bible it is translated with “death” – in order to hide the identity to the servant as the Jewish People. NKJ : “And they made His grave with the wicked-- But with the rich at His death, Because He had done no violence, Nor was any deceit in His mouth.”
Ordinary Jews chose to die like common criminals, rather than renounce their faith; and wealthy Jews were killed for no reason other than to enable their wicked conquerors to confiscate their riches (Radak). ”He submitted himself to his grave like wicked men, And the wealthy (submitted) to his executions; for committing no crime and with no deceit in his mouth.”

Ezekiel 38:11-13 Explicitly state that the intention of Gog and his allies is to despoil Israel of their wealth and appropriate their land as stated in Ezekiel 36:2,5 and Psalm Ch. 83. "All my bones shall say: 'LORD, who is like unto Thee, who deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy (Israel) from him (Edom/Ishmael-Esau) that spoileth/rob him?' (Psalm 35:10, 37:12-15, Ch. 109, Isaiah 49:24-26, Jeremiah 31:6-13).

With all of these developments and much more, we can not forget that with the Jewish Holidays upon us, there are families in the Shomron who are lacking the means to feed their families. We know that the strength and stability of the families of the Shomron are the backbone of our future here in Biblical Samaria. Those families with 8, 9 and 10 children are bringing up the next generation that will continue to inherit and possess this prophetic land for the God and people of Israel.

The Shomron Regional Council has established a network for distributing fo packages to needy families for the holidays and throughout the year. The needy families are identified by the municipal social services department and the help is delivered in a discredit way so as not to embarrass the recipient families. The entire operation costs are covered by the Shomron Regional Council who's employees manage the campaign ether during their work load or after hours as volunteers and all office work and expenses are covered by the municipality.

For the upcoming holidays we will be assisting 600 needy families with food packages and grants of an average $200 - $300 per family. I would like to ask your help with a donation that will go directly towards the needs of these families in the Shomron for the holidays. Donations are accepted through Shuva Israel which is an American 501c3 tax deductible organization.
It’s simple—log on to www.blessingisrael.com  and click on the easy to follow  instructions for donating via pay pal.

Seize your opportunity to bless Israel (Genesis 12:3) and make this
Succot a happy festival for the poor and needy of Israel. Thank you so much for your help. Best wishes to you and your family for a blessed Jewish New Year,
David Ha'ivri, Executive Director, The Shomron Liaison Office.

Chol Hamoed Sukkot in Efrat: Onward to Eitam Hill! Eitam is mentioned in Jewish sources as a city in the portion of Judah, close to Solomon's Pools. It was also once considered as a possible location for the building of the Holy Temple, according to the Talmud. Ultimately, the decision was made to build the Temple in Jerusalem.

The “Aqueduct extended from Eitam,” notes the Jerusalem Talmud in Yoma 3:8, because “the Eitam well was twenty-three cubits above the ground of the Temple Court (Babylonian Talmud, Yoma 31a), and the water flowed to Jerusalem by the force of gravity” (INN,
10/9/2011,).

The Haftara on first day of Succot is Zechariah chapter 14, which speaks about the War of Gog and Magog, which will take place on the festival of Succot. Yad La’achim: We Welcome Tourists, not Missionaries: The anti-missionary organization Yad La’achim has put up widespread posters across Israeli cities, welcoming tourists while asserting that missionary activity is very unwelcome (INN, 10/6/2011).

The NT identifies Gog and Magog as the deceived nations ”which are in the four corners of the earth,” (the Lost Tribes) ”the number of them is like the sand of the seashore”  "They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints (the Jews) and the beloved city (Jerusalem). And fire (Torah) came down from God out of heaven and devoured them" (Revelation 20:7-10).

Daniel 12:1"And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people (He will see how the Holy One blessed be He, will ponder how He can destroy the great armies of Gog and Magog for the sake of small Israel!); and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time; and at that time thy people shall be delivered (t he kingdom of Gog & Magog will be destroyed and Israel will escape.

So instead of worrying of present-day Persia will harm Israel , we should repent with all our hearts and trust in God),
every one that shall be found written in the book." Whoever is found inscribed in this Book. The entire Torah - the Book of the Living (Ex. 32:30-33, Psalm 69:27-29, Jeremiah 30:7-11). Israel, is the Land of the Living (Isaiah 53:8). And the Jewish people is the eternal people  who achieved everlasting life, living forever through the Torah (Proverbs 8:32-36).

Deut. 6:24-25 "And the Lord commanded us to perform all these statutes, to fear the Lord, our God, for our good all the days, to keep us alive, as of this day. And it will be for our merit that we keep to observe all these commandments before the Lord, our God, as He has commanded us."

Deut. 32:45-47 "
And Moses finished speaking all these words to all Israel. And he said to them, "Set your hearts to all of the words which I bear witness for you this day, so that you may command your children to observe to do all the words of this Torah. For it is not an empty thing for you, for it is your life, and through this thing, you will lengthen your days upon the land to which you are crossing over the Jordan, to possess it."

Deut. 4:4-8 "But you who cleave to the Lord your God are alive, all of you, this day. Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, as the Lord, my God, commanded me, to do so in the midst of the land to which you are coming to possess. And you shall keep [them] and do [them], for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the eyes of the peoples, who will hear all these statutes and say, "Only this great nation is a wise and understanding people. "

Video: Jews Shout Out to G-d at the Western Wall: Tzfat's Rabbi, Rav Shmuel Eliyahu, led a special Selichot service in the Western Wall. "We're praying to G-d by shouting out to him" (INN, 10/7/2011).

"For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is at all times that we call upon Him? And which great nation is it that has just statutes and ordinances, as this entire Torah, which I set before you this day?"

Will God Only Save The Jews?  The faith of the children of Israel does not condemn the masses of non-Jewish humanity to everlasting separation from God, rather, our people hold out the path of righteousness to all of humanity - both Jew and gentile. The path of the righteous gentile is realized by commitment to observe the seven laws of Noah.
