Is "the Angel of the Lord" - Jesus?
The Jewish people and Israel have through thousands of years lived a life fraught with dangers. With God's help they will also this time overcome the tests, trials and troubles (obstacles), and they will be strengthened and resurgent in their resolution to fulfill their mission. Hold on! The road was stony and long, but as always, we already knew who will be victorious!

In Numbers 22:22-38
we meet with Balaam, the son of Beor who is called by Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, to come and curse Israel.
God dispatches an angel to block Balaam’s way.  "God was being merciful to Balaam by sending an angel to save him from a sin that would lead to his own destruction (Rashi).

Iran: Our Missiles Can Reach American Bases: "There is no threat from any country to us other than the U.S. and the Zionist regime," Amir Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the Guard's Aerospace Force was quoted as saying by the semiofficial Fars news agency.

"The range of our missiles has been designed on the basis of the distance to the Zionist regime and the U.S. bases in the Persian Gulf region." Hajizadeh said some U.S. bases in Iraq and Afghanistan are as close as 75 miles from Iran's borders and can easily be hit by Iran in case of an attack (Fox News, Jun 28, 2011).

Riyadh will build nuclear weapons if Iran gets them, Saudi prince warns: A senior Saudi Arabian diplomat and member of the ruling royal family has raised the spectre of nuclear conflict in the Middle East if Iran comes close to developing a nuclear weapon.Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former Saudi intelligence chief and ambassador to Washington, warned senior Nato military officials that the existence of such a device "would compel Saudi Arabia … to pursue policies which could lead to untold and possibly dramatic consequences ".

Diplomatic cables obtained by WikiLeaks and published by the Guardian last year revealed that King Abdullah, who has ruled Saudi Arabia since 2005, had privately warned Washington in 2008 that if Iran developed nuclear weapons "everyone in the region would do the same, including Saudi Arabia " (The Guardian, Wed 29 June 2011).

Iran about to go public with their nuclear weapons program? A story quoting the Iranian Press News (which is closely tied to Iran's government) says that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has directed the Revolutionary Guard to “immediately” finish their nuclear weapons program. He called for testing in 2012 to be followed by arming missiles capable of delivering a nuclear payload to Israeli or other targets. The report says that Khamenei has made this first public acknowledgment of Iran's true intentions in the belief that Israel and the US lack the courage to launch a military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.

The world shows no signs of taking the threat from Iran seriously, aside from desultory sanctions that have not deterred Iran from continuing its work to achieve the means to accomplish President Ahmadinejad's stated goal to “wipe Israel off the map.” Instead of focusing on Iran, the UN continues to move toward the plan to recognize Palestinian statehood at the General Assembly meeting in September. This plan would require Israel to retreat to its indefensible 1967 borders and give up control of Jerusalem (Mike Evans).
If the UN recognizes Palestine, Israel, will formally be a member state occupying another member state.

"Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel (MALACH, messenger, an agent sent on a mission for HaShem) of the LORD standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed his head, and fell on his face. And the angel of the LORD said unto him: 'Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I am come forth for an adversary (Hebrew: SATAN), because thy way is contrary unto me;.." (vv 31-32).

The Hebrew word ”satan” may be translated as ”adversary.” 1 Kings 11:14,23 "And the LORD raised up an adversary (SATAN) unto Solomon, Hadad the Edomite;.. And God raised up another adversary (SATAN) unto him, Rezon the son of Eliada,.."

Christian Bible, NKJV: ”Then the LORD opened Balaam's eyes, and he saw the Angel of the LORD standing in the way with His drawn sword in His hand; and he bowed his head and fell flat on his face. And the Angel of the LORD said to him, "Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out to stand against you, because your way is perverse before Me” (Numbers 22:31-32).

David Guzik's Commentaries on the Bible: "Since this is the Angel of the Lord, and that the Angel of the Lord tells Balaam that his sin is against Him personally (your way is perverse before Me), it indicates this is an Old Testament appearance of God the Son - the Second Member of the Trinity, Jesus, before His incarnation as a baby in Bethlehem. Jesus is temporarily appearing in some sort of human form, for a specific Divine purpose..." See 'Who is Satan?'

PA Shocked at Israeli Video on ‘The Truth about West Bank’  Israel’s diplomatic offensive featuring a video that tells the truth about the West Bank” has shocked the PA, which said it “falsified history and international law.”

Since the Operation Cast Lead counterterrorist campaign against Hamas, the ensuing Goldstone Report, and the IHH terror-linked flotilla last year, Israel has began to turn around worldwide attempts to make the Jewish state appear illegitimate.

The Israeli government’s “hasbara” PR campaign helped stopped the latest attempt by pro-Hamas activists to sail to Gaza and break Israel’s counterterrorist maritime embargo on the terrorist organization. Mainstream media, after 20 years of Western-led attempts to bring about a negotiated settlement between the Palestinian Authority and Israel, have begun to show impatience with Arab refusals to budge from their territorial and political demands. The alleged “humanitarian crisis” in Gaza also has been disproven, and even the United Nations has said it does not exist (INN, 20/07/11).

Joshua 5:13-14 "And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand; and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him: 'Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?'

And he (Michael, meaning; "Who is like God?" Israel's protective messenger/angel, Daniel 12:1) said: 'Nay, but I am captain of the host of the LORD; I am now come.' And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and bowed down, and said unto him: 'What saith my lord (ADONI, master) unto his servant?'

Christian Bible, NKJV Joshua 5:13-15: "And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, "Are You for us or for our adversaries?" So He said, "No, but as Commander of the army of the LORD I have now come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped, and said to Him, "What does my Lord (ADONI, master) say to His servant?" And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua: 'Put off thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place (the Land of Israel) whereon thou standest is holy.' And Joshua did so."

Christians think that the person mentioned here was no other than their Lord, Jesus of Nazareth.

"The Hebrew word adonee  never refers to God anywhere in the Bible.  It is only used for the profane, never the sacred.  That is to say, God, the Creator of the universe, is never called adonee in the Bible.  There are many words reserved for God in the Bible; adonee, however, is not one of them" (Rabbi Tovia Singer, "The Lord Said to My Lord..." To Whom Was the Lord Speaking in Psalm 110:1?).

Exodus 3:1-5 "Moses was pasturing the flocks of Jethro, his father in law, the chief of Midian, and he led the flocks after the free pastureland, and he came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.(Mount Sinai) An angel (MALACH) of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from within the thorn bush, and behold, the thorn bush was burning with fire, but the thorn bush was not being consumed."

The vision of the burning bush was symbolic of the Egyptian exile. God was in the lowly thornbush, because when Israel is in exile, He joins in their suffering, as it were.
The bush itself, representing Israel, could not be consumed, because God does not permit His nation to be consumed (Midrash). "... As a rose among the thorns  (nations), so is My beloved (Israel) among the daughters (nations)" (Song of Songs 2:1-2). God dwells in the midst of Israel. Numbers 35:34, Deut. 21:21, Zech. 2:14-15.

"So Moses said, "Let me turn now and see this great spectacle why does the thorn bush not burn up?" The Lord saw that he had turned to see, and God called to him from within the thorn bush, and He said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am!" This expression connotes total readiness to carry out the will of the caller.   See the two Mashichim (ben Yosef and ben David),  Deut. 33:7,13-17, Gen. 49:8-12,22-26.
