"The slope is not only slippery, it is also steep."
"The salvation of the nation of Israel can come in different ways. There are times where the nation has fought back from oppression and defeated its enemies. Even after defeat, the enemies remain our enemies, and a threat of persecution lingers. There are situations, however, where we are able to turn the opinion of our enemies. They no longer pose a threat, as they side with the nation and may even offer protection and support" (Rabbi Yehudah Prero).

Isaiah 60:7 "All the sheep of Kedar (Arabia) shall be gathered to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall serve you; they shall be offered up with acceptance upon My altar, and I will glorify My glorious house." We eagerly await the day when all the flocks of Arabia will be gathered to be offered as sacrifices on God's Altar in the coming Holy Temple! (Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum).

" And the children of your oppressors shall go to you bent over, and those who despised you shall prostrate themselves at the soles of your feet, and they shall call you 'the city of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.' Instead of your being forsaken and hated without a passerby, I will make you an everlasting pride, the joy of every generation" (Isaiah 60:14).

Zechariah 8:20-23 "So said the Lord of Hosts: [There will] yet [be a time] that peoples and the inhabitants of many cities shall come. And the inhabitants of one shall go to another, saying, "Let us go to pray before the Lord and to entreat the Lord of Hosts. I, too, will go." And many peoples and powerful nations shall come to entreat the Lord of Hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord. So said the Lord of Hosts: In those days, when ten men of all the languages of the nations shall take hold of the skirt of a Jewish man, saying, "Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you."

"O Lord, Who are my power and my strength and my refuge in the day of trouble, to You nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, "Only lies have our fathers handed down to us, emptiness in which there is nothing of any avail! (Jer. 16:19).

BESA Expert: US May Pressure Israel After Bin Laden's Death: INN Interview: Obama is on a roll, and may use his new stature as the killer of Bin-Laden to lean on Israel for more concessions, says expert. The elimination of arch-terrorist Osama Bin Laden is of course a blessed event for the entire world – but the removal of Bin Laden from the ranks of Al Qaeda terrorists has in no way reduced the threat from that group, or any other terror group – quite the opposite, says Prof. Eitan Gilboa of Bar-Ilan University's Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies (INN, 05/03/11).

Israel's triumph over the mightiest empires has been played out many times throughout history.

US President Barack Obama On a New Beginning: "We have the power to make the world we seek, but only if we have the courage to make a new beginning, keeping in mind what has been written.

The Holy Koran tells us: "O mankind! We have created you male and a female and we have made you into nations and tribes so that you may know one another."

The Talmud tells us: "The whole of the Torah is for the purpose of promoting peace."

The Holy Bible tells us: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matt. 5:9).

The people of the world can live together in peace. We know that is God's vision. Now that must be our work here on Earth." (Remarks By The President On A New Beginning,  Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt, June 4, 2009).

Now, how will he work for peace, when he will destroy Israel and divide Jerusalem from were the Torah shall come forth from the Temple?

"My firstborn son is Israel." Exodus 4:22-23, Hosea 11:1-4, Isaiah 43:6, Jeremiah 31:8, Psalm 82:6.

"My son (Solomon), forget not My instruction, and may your heart keep My commandments for they shall add length of days and years of life and peace to you. Her (the Torah's) ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace" (Prov. 3:1-2,17). There are certain conditions that have to be met if one want be called a "son or a daughter of God.

"Great peace have they that love Thy law, and there is no stumbling for them" (Psalm 119:165). "For out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem"
(Michah 4:2, Isaiah 2:3).

Psalm 45:13 "And, O daughter of Tyre (USA), the richest of the people shall entreat thy favour with a gift.'

Psalms 68:30,32 "Out of Thy temple at Jerusalem, whither kings shall bring presents unto Thee. Nobles shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall hasten to stretch out her hands unto God."

Isaiah 45:14 "Thus saith the LORD: The labour of Egypt, and the merchandise of Ethiopia, and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine; they shall go after thee, in chains they shall come over; and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee: Surely God is in thee, and there is none else, there is no other God." See also Isaiah 2:2-4, 14:1-2, 18:7,  19:18-21, Ch. 60, Zeph. 3:10, Zech. 8:20-23. Nothing will prevent the Redemption and the Ingathering of the exiles.

Obama, the Interpreter of the Message of Passover:
Passover recalls the bondage and suffering of Jews in Egypt and the miracle of the Exodus, but U.S. President Barack Obama says its message is reflected in Muslim uprisings. In his annual message, prior to his third straight participation in the Passover Seder, President Obama stated, “The story of Passover…instructs each generation to remember its past, while appreciating the beauty of freedom and the responsibility it entails. This year that ancient instruction is reflected in the daily headlines as we see modern stories of social transformation and liberation unfolding in the Middle East and North Africa.”

Having constructed a link between the Arab uprisings and Chosen People's experiencing the miracles of the Creator that led them out of Egypt and towards the receiving of the Ten Commandments, the President concluded, "As Jewish families gather for this joyous celebration of freedom, let us all be thankful for the gifts that have been bestowed upon us, and let us work to alleviate the suffering, poverty, injustice, and hunger of those who are not yet free...” (INN, 04/18/11).

Nehemiah 9:36-37 "Behold, today we are slaves, and the land that You gave our forefathers to eat its fruit and its goodness-behold we are slaves upon it. And it lavishes its produce upon the kings whom You have appointed over us because of our sins, and they rule over our bodies and over our cattle as they wish, and we are in great distress." Jeremiah 30:7-11, Daniel 12:1, Deuteronomy 4:27-31, Ch. 30.

Netanyahu on Front Lines in Europe to Fight PA State: Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will dig into the diplomatic front lines next week and fly to London and Paris as Europe tightens support for ‘Auschwitz Borders,” the phrase the late United Nations Ambassador Abba Eban used to describe the “Green Line” that existed until 1967.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is to address the U.S. Congress shortly afterwards, while U.S. President Barack Obama prepares his ideas for establishing the Palestinian Authority as a new Arab country within Israel’s current borders. The president reportedly will reject the Arab world’s demand for the immigration of thousands of foreign Arabs to Israel. Abbas has said he will not surrender on the issue (INN, 04/26/11).

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who was once a Greater Land of Israel man now has the views of one of Labor's early predecessors, Ahdut Ha'avoda. His fondest dream is the Allon Plan to partition the West Bank. His red lines are Rabin's lines. What deputy foreign minister Netanyahu rejected point-blank in 1991, Prime Minister Netanyahu is enthusiastically prepared to adopt in 2011.

But even during his two years in leadership, Netanyahu has continued to stall and stall - and stall. He did not produce a daring diplomatic plan following his Bar-Ilan speech. He did not propose the establishment of a demilitarized and limited Palestinian state last summer. He allowed Obama, Abbas and time to wreak havoc on him. He brought Israel to a point in which time, which is working against it, could be its undoing (One last chance for Israel to reaffirm its right to exist, Haaretz, 21.04.11).

Netanyahu in Britain, Hears Threats to Recognize PA State: Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu is paying an official, three-day visit to Britain and France – whose leaders are now said to be threatening to recognize a Palestinian state. The Guardian reported yesterday that British government officials are holding this threat very distinctly over Israel’s head. The paper quoted a “diplomatic source” implying a self-righteous British position of, “This will hurt me, but I may have no choice.” (INN, 05/05/11 ).

'World will pay if PA-Israel talks fail': The international community will pay the price, should the talks between Israel and the PA fail, Jordan's King Abdullah II says (Press TV, Sep 6, 2010). Jordan's King Abdullah II, Egypt's Aboul Gheit and the Obama Administration have over and over again tried to take focus off Iran by calling for a Palestinian state as a solution to the nuclear threat from Iran.
Instead of mobilizing the world to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, they are hellbent on their own destruction. See 'Ambassadors of Peace'

PA Carries out Ahmadinejad’s Threat and Wipes Israel Off Map: The Palestinian Authority has carried out Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s threat to “wipe Israel off the map” and literally has done so by displaying maps of “ Palestine covering all of Israel at the same time its leaders talk about “two states for two people.” PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, head of the Fatah movement that controls the PA in Judea and Samaria, has in effect established a “one-state” solution in Fatah offices and in Palestinian Authority schools and offices.

The Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) has documented that professional unions and private PA groups display maps showing a rifle and a quill over “Palestine,” from the Lebanese border in the north to Eilat in the south and from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River.
The maps have been circulated at the same time Abbas campaigns for international recognition of the Palestinian Authority based on the borders of Israel as they existed between 1949 and 1967, during which time Jordan was mandated by the United Nations to rule part of Judea and Samaria but then overtook and occupied the entire region, including large swaths of Jerusalem, after the War of Independence in 1948 (INN, 04/27/11).

Prosecution Against Jewish Ownership of Land : The State Prosecution has submitted a petition to the Supreme Court that leaders of the Jewish Judea/Samaria settlement enterprise fear will cause the loss of many hundreds of acres of Jewish land. Even more gravely, says a civil rights expert from Hevron, "the Prosecution aims not only to cancel the registration of the land in the names of the Jews who have worked it, but also to throw them off the land altogether!" In addition, if the petition is accepted, it would be applied only to Jews. The discriminatory decision would thus cause the retroactive loss of hundreds of acres, or more, of Jewish agricultural land throughout Judea and Samaria (INN, 04/26/11).

Palestinians Dupe West: Several dozen Israeli intellectuals and politicians have signed a declaration endorsing the immediate establishment of an independent Palestinian state covering the territories Israel occupied in the 1967 Six Day War. They have proclaimed this as both a diktat of justice—peoples have a right to self-determination—and Israeli self-interest, given the desire of its majority Jewish population to remain a majority and to remain a member in good standing of the international community.

The Palestinians' current diplomatic campaign is aimed at achieving international recognition of statehood by September when, it is expected, the matter will be brought to a vote at the UN General Assembly. Yasser Arafat's strategy from the late 1980s, after he realized that he wasn't going to orchestrate the destruction of Israel, was to establish a Palestinian Arab state encompassing the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza, but without recognizing Israel or making peace with it. According to Palestinian strategy, the Israelis will eventually unilaterally withdraw, so why give the Israelis recognition and peace in exchange?

Rather, once this mini-state is achieved, unfettered by any international obligations like a peace treaty - and having promised nothing in exchange for their statehood - the Palestinians will be free to continue their struggle against Israel, its complete demise being their ultimate target. On the military and political levels, no one will be able to fault the Palestinians. They will have broken no treaty and violated no solemn agreement. They will have received their mini-state, a launching pad for further assault on Israel, without giving anything in return. (National Interest, April 25, 2011).

Report: Danger Lurks in a PA State: If – as many expect – the United Nations General Assembly votes to recognize a Palestinian state in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem at its meeting next September, the IDF and the government will have to take a more aggressive tack to defend Jews living in Judea and Samaria...

Israel , including the Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria, would be in mortal danger if the PA had the opportunity to spread its troops throughout a PA state that  could become a reality just a few months from now. And if such a declaration is made, the PA troops, according to international law, would be within their rights to enter Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria and wreak havoc on the lives of residents (INN, 04/26/11).

Livnat Family in Sad Visit to Joseph's Tomb: The monthly Jewish entry into the Tomb of Joseph was a sad one Monday night. The first to enter were the family members of Ben Yosef (Benyo) Livnat, who was murdered at the site by Palestinian Authority terrorists who are uniformed members of the "PA police force."

More than 1,000 worshipers then entered the Tomb, including members of the Fogel family of Itamar, and were heartbroken to see it defiled by Shechem's Muslim rabble again, after so much effort had been put into renovating it. The soot on the walls was evidence of the two attempts by an Arab mob and "PA police" to torch the compound after Livnat's murder.
In addition, there were clear signs that a pickaxe had been taken to the lower part of the dome above the tomb.

Samaria local authority leader Gershon Mesika demanded that Israel retake full control of the Tomb. "Had the IDF controlled the location instead of the outrageous decision to station PA police terrorists, the barbaric terror attack would have been avoided," Mesika said (INN, 05/03/11).

Expert: Jews May Lose Out to Arab Encroachment: If Jews don't watch out, they are liable to lose the Land of Israel, says Dr. Mordechai Keidar of the Bar Ilan University Begin-Sadat Research Center (INN, 04/26/11).

Our Sages taught: Israel said to God, ”Master of the Universe, when will You redeem us?” God answered: ”When you descend to the lowest level - at that moment I shall redeem you.”  All of Ya’akov’s sufferings, troubles and sorrows throughout history were transformed into salvation, and the greater the darkness, the greater was the light which followed. This is true of the final redemption as well – its light shall burst forth from the midst of darkness."

Isaiah 60:2 "For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and a gross darkness the kingdoms,  and the Lord shall shine upon you, and His glory shall appear over you."

"At the very time when hearts tremble in despair, the glory of God will shine forth. And when will this be? In the month of Nisan, for God has established it as a time of redemption for all generations. Every trial and misfortune which befalls Israel during this month is but an assurance that the redemption is about to begin... (From ”The Book of Our Heritage by Rabbi Eliahu Kitov).

"The two centuries of slavery had taken their toll on the Jewish people's spirit. They had forgotten their illustrious past as children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, pioneers of a path of ethics and higher morals. The corruption and depravity of the Egyptian society had slowly crept into the Israelite mentality, and they assimilated many of its paganistic ideals into their own. They were slaves to Egypt, not just in body, but in mind as well.

It came to a point where their unique identity was all but lost. Suddenly they realised that the legacy of Abraham could be lost forever, and the message of hope that the Israelites were to bring the world would not be delivered, all because of them. Only then did they cry out for help. On the brink of point of no return, they called out to G-d.

Think of an alcoholic. For a while, the alcoholic fools himself into thinking that things are in control, he is just drinking socially, it relaxes him, there's nothing wrong. Gradually, the habit overtakes him, and one-by-one he loses everything he has: his family, his job, his money, his dignity. But it's only when he hits rock bottom, when he has been stripped of everything, that it suddenly dawns on him that he has a real problem...

Now he has to act fast. Once he has recognised the problem, he has to deal with it immediately, before that moment of clarity passes by and he slips back into self-justification.  He can't do it alone. He's too drunk to help himself. He has to call for help. Someone from the outside,.." (Rabbi Aron Moss).

In Hebrew, Egypt is called Mitzrayim. The name is derived from m'tzarim, meaning "narrow straits" (mi, "from," tzar, "narrow" or "tight"). When God took the Jews out of Mitzrayim, He extricated them from the place of trouble and affliction, slavery and idolatry (Hosea 11:1-4, Exodus 2:23-25, 4:31, ), and narrow-mindedness. See The Exodus Out of Egypt

In the end of days He will bring the seed of the House of Israel out of the "north" (Ugaritic: "tzafon," meaning "hidden or dark region"). Jeremiah 23:7-8, 16:14-21, 31:6-13, 3:12-25. (He will bring them out of their physical, spiritual or mental exile). And many mighty and powerful nations will join them (Isaiah 14:1-2, Zech. 2:15, 8:20-23, Jeremiah 16:19). See ' Out of the North: From Darkness to Light'

In the Zohar Chadash it is written: When Israel was in Egypt, they became defiled through all means of impurity until they sank to the forty-ninth level of impurity. The Holy One, blessed is He, brought them out of subservience to all these powers and led them to enter the forty-ninth level of wisdom.

When we count the omer for forty-nine days (the days that are between Pesach and Shavuot) from (after) the first day of the Festival it reminds us that on each day He brought Israel another step away from the defilement of Egypt and led them to enter the Gate of purity so that they would be worthy of receiving the Torah.

Spiritual Guide to the Omer: The Torah invites us on a journey into the human psyche, into the soul. There are seven basic emotions that make up the spectrum of human experience.

The seven emotional attributes are: Chesed (Loving-kindness), Gevurah  (Vigor, Justice and discipline), Tiferet (Beauty, Harmony, compassion), Netzach (Victory, Endurance, Determination), Hod (Humility, Devotion), Yesod (Foundation, Bonding, Connection), Malchut (Sovereignty, Leadership, dignity). The forty-nine days are divided into seven weeks, during which one attribute reigns supreme.

At the root of all forms of enslavement, is a distortion of these emotions. Each of the seven weeks between Passover and Shavuot is dedicated to examining and refining one of them.

Throughout this period they gradually improved, adding each virtue in turn and combining it with the one previously acquired.

Upon conclusion of the 49 days we arrive at the 50th day -- Mattan Torah. After we have achieved all we can accomplish through our own initiative, traversing and refining every emotional corner of our psyche, we then receive a gift ('mattan' in Hebrew) from above. We receive that which we could not achieve with our own limited faculties. We receive the gift of true freedom -- the ability to transcend our human limitations and touch the divine (ChaBaD).

Netanyahu: Use Bible as Guide: Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met Tuesday with contestants in the annual Bible Quiz.

He told the contestants that the Quiz is an opportunity for them to deepen their knowledge with the Bible and to use it as a guide in order to get to know the Land of Israel better (INN, 05/03/11).

Isaiah 2:2-3 "And it shall be at the end of the days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be firmly established at the top of the mountains, and it shall be raised above the hills, and all the nations shall stream to it. And many peoples shall go, and they shall say, "Come, let us go up to the Lord's mount, to the house of the God of Jacob, and let Him teach us of His ways, and we will go in His paths," for out of Zion shall the Torah come forth, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem."

And he (Moshiach) shall judge between the nations and reprove many peoples, and they shall beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift the sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore." (Michah 4:1-3).

God says that His Torah is the “way of life” ( Jeremiah 21:8 ). Torah means “Instruction” It is God’s instruction to humankind on how to live and behave. It is the path to eternal life, blessings and goodness - and thereby His path to salvation (Deut. 11:26-28, 30:15-16,19-20). The Torah will guide us of our duties and purpose in life, she shows us the way of returning to God, and how we will reach that goal - through repentance, kindness, charity, good deeds, prayer, etc.

Psalm 49:16 "But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for He shall take me forever." But I, who have bent my ear to the parable; God will redeem my soul so that I do not go to the grave, BECAUSE HE WILL TAKE ME IN MY LIFETIME TO WALK IN HIS WAYS.

Psalm 16:9-11 "Therefore, my heart rejoiced, and my soul was glad; even my flesh shall dwell in safety. For You shall not forsake my soul to the grave; You shall not  allow Your pious one to see the pit. You shall let me know the way of life, the fullness of joys in Your presence. There is pleasantness in Your right hand forever." Endless joy! Deut. 33:2 "...from His right hand was a fiery Law for them."

Psalm 48:15 "For this is God, our God forever and ever; He shall lead us as in youth.”  He shall lead us to eternity. Genesis 5:24 “And Enoch walked with God, and he was no longer, for God had taken him.” Enoch was a righteous man.

Deuteronomy 6:24-25 "And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. And it shall be righteousness unto us, if we observe to do all this commandment before the LORD our God, as He hath commanded us.'

Isaiah 32:17-18 "And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and confidence for ever. And my people shall abide in a peaceable habitation, and in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting-places."

Isaiah 48:17-19 "Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: I am the LORD thy God, who teacheth thee for thy profit, who leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Oh that thou wouldest hearken to My commandments! then would thy peace be as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea; Thy seed also would be as the sand, and the offspring of thy body like the grains thereof; his name would not be cut off nor destroyed from before Me." See Jeremiah 30:7-11, Daniel 12:1, Zechariah 12:9. While
non-Jews are only obligated to obey the seven commandments given to Noah, Jews are responsible for fulfilling the 613 mitzvot in the Torah.

Genesis 6:8-9 "But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord... Noah was a righteous man he was perfect in his generations; Noah walked with God."

Genesis 17:1,18 “...
and God appeared to Abram, and He said to him, "I am the Almighty God; walk before Me and be perfect.” ”And Abraham said to God, "If only Ishmael will live before You!" This means: “Let him live in fear of You – so depart from evil (Job 28:28),” “Walk before Me, ”Serve Me.”

Psalms 119:1-5 "Praiseworthy are those whose way is perfect, who walk with the law of the Lord. Praiseworthy are those who keep His testimonies; who seek Him wholeheartedly. Not only have they committed no injustice, they walked in His ways.

You commanded Your precepts, to keep diligently. My prayers are that my ways should be established, to keep Your statutes."

The Way of God, is to do tzedakah and justice: Genesis 18:18-19 And Abraham will become a great and powerful nation, and all the nations of the world will be blessed in him. For I have known him because he commands his sons and his household after him, that they should keep the way of the Lord to perform righteousness and justice, in order that the Lord bring upon Abraham that which He spoke concerning him."

What is the meaning of the verse, "You shall walk after the Lord your God?" To follow the attributes of the Holy One, blessed be He. Clothe the naked (Gen. 3:21, Is. 58:7-14, Ezek. 18:5-17), Visit the sick (Gen. 18:1), Comfort mourners (Gen. 25:11), Bury the dead Deut. 34:6), Psalm 103:6-8. See 'Image of God'

"...it is only through social life and interactions with others that divine attributes may emerge..." (Ahmadinejad).

Isaiah 40:5 “And the glory of God will be revealed and all flesh will see it together.” In the Era of Redemption "ALL FLESH WILL REVEAL GODLINESS. Each attribute has a light of its own that shines forth from its combination with others...

The Seven Shepherds: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Aaron, Joseph, and King David; each correspond to a fundamental spiritual pathway (SEFIRAH) through which the world is metaphysically nourished and perfected (Derech Hashem 3:2:5, Zohar Chadash, Toldot 26c; cf. Zohar 2:256a).

Abraham represents love and kindness (CHESSED): He fed and sustained everyone with his great love, and with his overwhelming kindness he brought them under the wings of the Shechinah; Gods Presence, kingdom. Abraham would convert the men and Sarah would convert the women “the souls they had acquired in Haran” (Genesis 12:5). He had no jealousy, cruelty, or hatred in his character.

Isaac represents restraint and personal strength: All of his strength was devoted to serving God and fearing Him.

Jacob represents beauty and truth:

Moses represents eternality and dominance through Torah:

Aaron represents empathy and receptivity to divine splendor:

Joseph represents holiness and the spiritual foundation:

David represents the establishment of the kingdom of heaven on earth:

When we act in ways that manifest one of these spiritual attributes, the divine light (as directed through that particular transcendental conduit) shines down into the world and brings it closer to its completion (Derech Hashem 4:2:2,5).

Isaiah 60:1,3 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has shone upon you. And nations shall go by your light and kings by the brilliance of your shine."

Each and every soul of the House of Israel comprises within it something of the quality of our teacher Moses, peace unto him, for he is one of the "seven shepherds" who cause vitality and G-dliness to flow to the community of the souls of Israel, for which reason they are called "shepherds".

Just as a shepherd provides nourishment for his sheep, thereby supplying them with vitality, so too do the "seven shepherds" sustain Jewish souls with "vitality and G-dliness," each from his own spiritual level. Abraham provides the Jews with the spiritual faculty of Chessed and love, and so forth (Likutei Amarim, Chapter Forty-Two).

Isaiah 2:5 "O house of Jacob, come and let us go in the light of the Lord."  That is: “Come and let us go in the teaching of the Torah of the Lord.”   Isaiah 30:25-26 "And there shall be on every high mountain and on every raised hill, canals, rivulets of water, on the day of the great slaying, when the great ones (Christianity and Islam) fall. And the light of the moon shall be like the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold as the light of the seven days, on the day the Lord shall bind the fracture of His people, and the stroke of their wound He shall heal." These verses depict the great blessing that will come into the world when Israel will cast away their idols, and the radiant spiritual light that will shine when Israel and the world will repent at the end of days.

Interview: Christian Group Seeks to Convert, Move to Yesha: Hundreds of American Christian converts to Judaism could, if a plan works out, move to Israel, serve in the IDF, and take up residence in Samaria. It's not pie-in-the-sky, but a plan being developed by a Portland, Oregon radio host called Baruch Avramovich, claims MK Lea Shemtov...

David Ha'Ivri, Samaria Council spokesman, says flatly that the story is not true. Reaction among other Jewish Israelis to the report has been mixed, with some enthusiastic and others suspicious of the possibility that the group will not renounce Christianity as their leader did not, and act as a Christian missionary fifth column, infiltrating the Jewish people and the IDF in order to spread Christianity.  The Jews for Jesus have attempted to do just that and their applications for citizenship through the Law of Return have been denied as a result (INN, 04/27/11).

The Torah cautions the Jew that he had once been mired in the spiritual muck of Egyptian contamination, and were not better than the convert before his conversion (Exodus 22:20-22, 23:9, Deut. 10:18-19). The Israelites was commanded to take the lambgod of the Egyptians and slaughter it (Exodus 12:21), thereby withdrawing themselves from the idolatrous practices of the Egyptians (Hosea 11:1-4). "...and they cry out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb" (Revelation 7:10).

FROM RUIN TO RENEWAL: "Sefirat HaOmer" - Counting of the Omer : The Biblical obligation to count the days between Pesach and Shavuot, where Pesach represents the transition from the physical "ruin" of Slavery to the "renewal" of Physical Freedom, and Shavuot represents the transition from the spiritual "ruin" of idol worship and paganism to the spiritual "renewal" of Monotheism and acceptance of the Torah (Orthodox Union).

Hamas Praises Bin Laden, Condemns U.S.:   While most of the free world praises the United States for having rid it of arch-terrorist Osama Bin Laden, the Hamas organization - which has recently all but merged with Fatah, headed by Mahmoud Abbas - condemned the act. The Gaza-based website "Al Qassam" reports that Gaza leader Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the local Hamas chapter that runs Gaza, told reporters on Monday that Bin Laden was an "Arab holy worrior" (INN, 05/02/11).

Arabs Riot in Jerusalem Over Bin Laden's Demise, Hamas Angry (INN, 05/02/11).  US and Britain Furious at Hamas for Mourning Bin Laden: Hamas has managed to infuriate the United States and Britain for mourning Bin Laden – while at the same time Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas ties the knot with the terrorist organization and tries to gain Western support for declaring a PA a state (INN, 05/04/11).

Who Else Is Condemning the U.S. for Killing Bin Laden? A close ideological link exists between the Muslim Brotherhood and al-Qaeda. The two organizations aspire to the similar goal of establishing an Islamic caliphate and imposing Islam over the entire world via jihad. Al-Qaeda sprang from the foundations of the Muslim Brotherhood. Osama bin Laden and his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri, started out as Muslim Brotherhood activists.

The Muslim Brotherhood and its affiliates in Jordan and the Palestinian territories openly condemn bin Laden's "assassination," disproving the claim that the Muslim Brotherhood is a pragmatic movement. The Islamic movement in Israel, headed by Ra'ed Salah, also condemned "the assassination of the Sheikh and martyr Osama bin Laden"  (Jonathan D. Halevi, Jeusalem Center for Public Affairs).

Myriad Arab Reactions to Death of Osama Bin Laden: In contrast to the vast relief exhibited by most people in the Western world, Arabs have reacted in myriad ways to the assassination of chief al-Qaeda terrorist Osama Bin Laden -- and some have issued death threats to U.S. President Barack Obama.

Palestinian Imam threatens Obama: A Muslim cleric at Jerusalem's Al Aqsa mosque vowed to avenge the international terrorist's death in a YouTube video he uploaded to the Internet this week. “The Western dogs are rejoicing after killing one of our Islamic lions,” the imam ranted. “From Al Aqsa mosque, where the future Caliphate will originate with the help of G-d, we say to them the dogs will not rejoice too much for killing the lions. The dogs will remain dogs and the lion – even if he is dead – will remain a lion” (INN, 05/05/11).

King David identifies his enemies as "a lion and a dog:" "Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Many bulls have encompassed me; strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. They open wide their mouth against me, as a ravening and a roaring lion. For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me; like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet. But Thou, O LORD, be not far off; O Thou my strength, hasten to help me. Deliver my soul from the sword; mine only one from the power of the dog. Save me from the lion's mouth; yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen do Thou answer me" (Psalms 22:12-14,17,20-22).

1 Samuel 17:44 "And the Philistine said unto David: 'Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves?' And the Philistine cursed David by his god."

The Christian mistranslation of Psalm 22:17(16) NKJ “For dogs have surrounded Me. The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me, they pierced My hands and My feet.” "When the original words of Psalm 22:17 (or Zechariah 12:10) are read, any allusion to a crucifiction disappears" (Rabbi Tovia Singer). See 'Krystall Nacht'

I Samuel 17:34-37 "And David said unto Saul: 'Thy servant kept his father's sheep; and when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth; and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.

Thy servant smote both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath taunted the armies of the living God.' And David said: 'The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.' And Saul said unto David: 'Go, and the LORD shall be with thee' (1 Samuel 17:34-37). King David, the shepherd-king, is using the animal motif to describe his enemies (Ezekiel 34:23-31, 37:15-28).

Al-Shabab vows to avenge bin Laden: Al-Shabab has vowed to take revenge for the death of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and to continue their military campaign to unseat the Western backed transitional federal government of Somalia.“We shall redouble our struggle and we shall overpower our enemies,” Reuters quoted al-Shabab spokesman Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage as saying in Mogadishu on Saturday.

"We shall never divert from the path of Sheikh Osama and we shall continue the battle till we taste the death our brother Osama faced, or achieve victory and rule the whole world," he added.Laden and to continue their military campaign to unseat the Western-backed transitional federal government of Somalia. Manwhile, Kenyan security forces have been put on high alert to provide security for US President Barack Obama’s grandmother after receiving information that al-Shabab may try to kill her, a Press TV correspondent reported late on Friday (Press TV, Sat May 7, 2011).

President Shimon Peres in response to the news of the capture and killing of OBL: “While terrorists are so dangerous, we should not fall victim to believe that they are immune and eternal. They are weak, they are wrong, they are foolish… I do not know of a Lord that allowed OBL to hate, to murder and kill. No such permission [was given] by any moral authority”.

Netanyahu: Fatah-Hamas Unity "A Great Victory For Terror" Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in London condemned the signing ceremony for the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation agreement in Cairo on Wednesday. "What happened today in Cairo is a tremendous blow to peace and a great victory for terrorism," Netanyahu told reporters. “Three days ago terrorism was dealt a resounding defeat with the elimination of Bin Laden,” Netanyahu said. “Today in Cairo it had a victory.”

Netanyahu's criticism singled out Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, whom he referred to by using his popular terror-moniker “Abu Mazzen.” Abbas masterminded the Munich massacre of Israeli athletes in 1972.
“When Abu Mazzen, the head of the Palestinian Authority, embraces Hamas, an organization that two days ago condemned the American action against Bin Laden [and] praises Bin Laden to the gills as some great martyr for emulation...” “When he embraces this organization, which is committed to Israel's destruction, fires rocket's on our cities – who just fired a rocket on a school bus – this is a tremendous setback for peace and a great advance for terror” (INN, 05/04/11).

Proverbs 28:4 "Those who forsake the Torah praise the wicked, but those who keep the Torah contend with them."

One Root of Bin Laden’s Terrorism: Hatred of Jews: Hatred of Jews and claims that the US “attacked” Muslims by “helping Jews occupy Palestine” were one of the reasons for Bin Laden’s anti-American terror. Hatred of the West and what it stands for played a much larger part, but Bin Laden, in true anti-Semitic tradition, tried to whip up anti- Jewish feeling by claiming that the Jews are one of the reasons for his terrorist acts. INN has researched  the anti-Semitic angle (INN, 05/02/11).

A Second Root of Bin Laden’s Terrorism: Hatred for the Torah: Osama bin Laden once said, “We love death. The US loves life. That is the difference between us two.”

Proverbs 8:32-36 ”Now therefore, ye children, hearken unto me; for happy are they that keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Happy is the man that hearkeneth to me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

For whoso findeth me findeth life, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. But he that misseth me wrongeth his own soul; all they that hate me love death.' It would be a fatal mistake to reject the wisdom of the Torah. See 'Fear of God'

I Kings 18:17-18” And it was when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, "Is this you, the one who brings trouble upon Israel?" And he said, "I have not brought trouble upon Israel, but you and your father's house, since you have forsaken the commandments of the Lord, and you went after the Baalim.”

Bin Laden Lessons for Israel: Israel was condemned when it eliminated Hamas' Ahmad Yassin and the Iraqi reactor. The Americans assassinated bin Laden and also hunted and eliminated Saddam Hussein, yet nobody said a word.

For every targeted elimination carried out by Israel, it was hit with numerous condemnations and protests, yet the daily U.S. surgical strikes in Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya and Iraq are met with silence. Every time Israel unintentionally harms civilians, the world raises a hue and cry, yet if it happens in Libya, Iraq, Serbia or Kosovo, nobody protests (Rafi Israeli, Ynet News).

Bin Laden's One Mistake: By Shmuel Sackett:
One thing made Osama bin Laden public enemy #1...one thing - made his assassination justified and praised by world leaders. He didn't just kill Jews. Had he limited his terrorism to Jews only, he would not have been targeted... He would have been invited to the United Nations... He would have won the Nobel peace prize.

Mahmoud Ahmadinijad... participated in the attacks against the Jewish community of Argentina where hundreds of Jews were killed. He has stated - that he wants to destroy Israel. He wants to kill 6,000,000 Jews and he is feverishly working to build a bomb that will do just that. Has he been targeted? He recently spoke in the UN. He was a guest speaker in Columbia University. Why? Because he is only interested in killing Jews."

"Khaled Mashaal is the leader of Hamas. Hamas is a sworn enemy of Israel. It has killed and maimed thousands of Jews since the “peace process” came about. It has fired over 5,000 missiles into Israel, aiming for Jewish homes and hoping to kill Jewish children. Has he been targeted?

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently invited Mashaal to Moscow. Former US President Jimmy Carter has embraced Mashaal and considers him a “partner for peace”. Why? Because he is only interested in killing Jews.

Yasser Arafat has more innocent blood on his hands than bin Laden. Yet this murderer was a guest at the Clinton White House more than any other world leader! He spoke in the UN and in over 30 countries. He won the Nobel Peace Prize. Why? Because he was only interested in killing Jews. His successor, Abbas is a Jew murderer, as well."

"Adolf Hitler. The world knew about his plans for the Jews as early as 1933. The world knew about Kristallnacht back in November of 1938, and of the concentration camps shortly thereafter. Yet the entire world called this monster “Herr” Hitler.

They gave him respect. They recognized him as a leader. All that changed when Hitler invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. From that point on he became an enemy. Why? Because until that day he was only interested in killing Jews.

The message to Jews - and the State of Israel- is very clear. Learn to defend yourself. Learn to take revenge yourself. The world will not help you with Iran, Hamas or the PLO/PA. May today's Jewish leaders - and the brave warriors of the IDF... - very soon - do to these terrorists exactly what was done to Bin Laden..." (Shmuel Sackett, International Director, Manhigut Yehudit).

The Holocaust Yet to Come: By Moshe Feiglin: After the Holocaust, in a rare moment of good will, the world voted to partition the Land of Israel and to recognize the fledgling Jewish state. But this recognition had no practical implications. Seven Arab armies invaded the tiny area allocated to Israel. The world did not lift a finger.

Three years after the Holocaust, the Western world waited once again for the Arabs to finish off the dirty work. It did nothing to help Israel. But then, with G-d's loving grace, the situation turned around. The nascent IDF stopped the Arab armies.

When that happened, Britain threatened that if the IDF would not retreat, it would invade Israel. America pressured, Ben Gurion gave in and the new norm was set: When the Jews are in danger, the world waits patiently. When they start to win, the world stops them." (Manhigut Yehudit, The Jewish Leadership Weekly Newsletter).

We saw this in 1978, 1982 (PLO), 1996, 2006 (Hizbullah) and 2009 (Hamas) how the US and the UN intervened to legalize  Islamic terrorism against Jews in Israel, allowed them to rearm and keep on firing at the Israelis. See 'Redeeming Mankind'

Fatah, Hamas and Co. have Slain 981 Israeli Civilians Since 2000: Nine hundred and eighty three civilians have been murdered by Muslim Arab terrorists since 2000. The vast majority of the murders were carried out by the Fatah and Hamas terror groups. About 17,200 civilians were wounded in these premeditated and intentional attacks upon civilian targets.

The statistics were released by the National Insurance Institute, for the upcoming Memorial Day for Fallen IDF Soldiers and Victims of Terror Attacks. The total number of civilians killed in Muslim-Arab terror attacks since January 1, 1950 stands at 2,443. This figure includes 119 foreign nationals.

The carnage was inflicted upon Israel after PLO terror chiefs and their militias were allowed into the Land of Israel following secret negotiations between Israeli leftists and PLO representatives in Oslo, Norway. This resulted in the Oslo Accords, which recognized the PLO leaders and terrorists as legitimate, after dozens of years in which Israel saw them as unworthy of any respect.

Seven years after being allowed into the Land of Israel, after they had established themselves on the ground and prepared for mass murder, the Arabs launched an unprecedented wave of horrific killings. Their favored targets were concentrations of citizens, be they on passenger buses, in coffee shops, or on lines to enter discotheques or malls (INN, 05/05/11).

Moreover, USA & Co have done everything in their power to prevent Israel from protecting itself (and the world) in destroying Iran's nuclear plans: Jordan's King Abdullah II, Egypt's Aboul Gheit, the Obama Administration have over and over again tried to take focus off Iran by calling for a Palestinian state as a solution to the nuclear threat from Iran. Instead of mobilizing the world to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, it is clear for all to see; they are hellbent on Israel's destruction whether it  be by an Iranian strike, arming and training the enemies of Israel, or through a PA/Fatah, Hamas state.

Hamas TV Broadcasting in Judea, Samaria; PA TV in Gaza: The reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah, signed Wednesday by the twin terror groups, is fast turning into reality on the ground - and on the airwaves. Palestinian Authority sources reported Thursday that the television station run by the Fatah-controlled PA in Judea and Samaria is now broadcasting freely in Gaza, four years after it was taken off the air there. At the same time, Hamas's Al-Aqsa TV began broadcasting in Judea and Samaria, for the first time ever. Both stations regularly incite their viewers to kill and hate Jews (INN, 05/05/11).

Are you happy with who you are? Wish you could change, but don't know how? How does one change? The formula is straightforward: (1) Recognize that there is need for improvement. (2) Make a decision to improve. (3) Make a plan. (4) Follow through on the plan... (Kedoshim 5771 By Rabbi Kalman Packous, Aish HaTorah).

Following the counting of the Omer it is customary to read Psalm 67. "God be gracious unto us, and bless us; may He cause His face to shine toward us; Selah That Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy salvation among all nations" (vv 2-3).
May He illuminate our minds so that we may perceive the wondrous lessons of Torah (Sforno). We ask for intellectual enlightenment so that we can spread Your teachings throughout the world. We yearn to guide mankind to an appreciation of Your way of kindness and mercy (Rashi; Sforno).

"
Peoples will thank You, O God; peoples will thank You, yea, all of them. Kingdoms will rejoice and sing praises, for You will judge peoples fairly, and the kingdoms-You will lead them on earth forever" (vv 4-5).
Ultimately, God's message will penetrate every corner of the world and all nations will worship Him (R' Hirsch).

Psalm 19:8-9 "The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is faithful, making the simple one wise. The orders of the Lord are upright, causing the heart to rejoice; the commandment of the Lord is clear, enlightening the eyes." Isaiah 42:16 "And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not, in paths that they knew not will I lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and rugged places plain. These things will I do, and I will not leave them undone."

The redemptive process is moving apace, (Leviticus 23:15-16) ”...seven weeks shall there be complete; even unto the morrow after the seventh week shall ye number fifty days;..” Seven busy weeks with several event-filled days. The Passover festival ended followed by Holocaust Remembrance Day, Israel's Memorial Day for its fallen soldiers and victims of terror, Israel 63rd Independence Day , and Lag B'Omer, (May 22) the 33rd day in the Omer, which will be followed by Jerusalem Day, marking  the anniversary of the liberation of Jerusalem and the retaking of the Temple Mount after which comes the celebration of the festival of Shavuot - marking the receiving of Torah at Mount Sinai by all Israel.

Samaria Celebrates Diplomatic Victory over Roman Empire: A huge Saturday night Lag B’Omer bonfire in the heart of Samaria (Shomron) recalls Rabbi Shimon Ben Yochai’s diplomatic victory over the Roman Empire, said Shomron Regional Council head, Gershon Mesika (INN, 05/22/11).

Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai was a student of Rabbi Akiva, who was the spiritual leader of the Bar Kochba Revolt against Rome in 135 CE, which began in glory and ended in tragedy. As a student of the spiritual leader of the revolt, bar Yochai was pursued relentlessly by the Romans. He and his son, Rabbi Elazar ben Shimon, took refuge in a cave, where they remained for thirteen years.

During those years, Rabbi Shimon studied Torah with his son, the Revealed Torah and the Hidden, or Secret, Torah, the "Torat HaSod," also known as "Kabbalah,.." Rabbi Shimon wrote down the latter material, for the first time, in a book called the "Zohar," meaning "The Splendor" or "The Radiance" (OU.org).

Daniel 12:3 "And those who are wise (those who have insight and engaged in Torah and mitzvot) shall shine like the brightness (ZOHAR) of the firmament." The Zohar takes its name from here. See Eccl. 8:1, Exodus 34:29-35, Judges 5:31, Isaiah 60:1-5.

LaG BaOmer- 33rd Day in the Omer: (Lamed=30; Gimmel=3): Jews throughout Israel light huge bonfires, symbolically illuminating the deeper truths, the soul, the secrets of the Torah, THE LIGHTS, as revealed by Rabbi Shimon; "The Zohar," meaning "shining light."

Rabbi Abba, a student assigned with the job of transcribing Rabbi Shimon's last words, reports: "I couldn't even lift my head due to the intense light emanating from Rabbi Shimon. The entire day the house was filled with fire, and nobody could get close due to the wall of fire and light... Why was Rabbi Shimon bathed in light and fire? Because Torah is compared to light (Pr. 6:23) and a cleansing fire (Deut. 33:1-4, Isaiah 51:4, Jer. 23:29, 5:14, Zec. 13:8-9) - bonfires are lit to commemorate the great fire that surrounded the Rabbi.

Zechariah 2:9 "For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her (Jerusalem) a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her."

Any hole or deep crevice is called "UR." Isaiah 11:8 "And an infant shall play over the hole of an old snake (an 'Adversary', 1 Kings 11:14,23,25)," Ezekiel 35 foretells the future destruction of Edom, the offspring of Esau, who was the embodiment of the primordial serpent and chief adversary of Israel.

"You are the Lord God, Who chose Abram, took him out of Ur of the Chaldees," (Neh. 9:7). "Ur" actually means "fire." Referring to he fiery pit that Abraham was thrown into, but saved.

The oppression the Israelites suffered in Egypt are also likened to a furnace in which metal is purified (Deut. 4:20, Ezekiel 22:18-22, Malachi 3:1-6).

Isaiah 24:15 "Therefore, for the lights honor the Lord (You Christians & Muslims, who dwell in darkness, in the hole of the snake's dwelling); in the islands of the sea,.." (The islands of the Kittim, the Romans, the descendants of Esau; Rashi on Isaiah 11:11). Honor the Lord, when lights come to the righteous, concerning the redemption from Edom-Rome/Esau, (Isaiah  49:24-26, Jer. 31:10-11, Gen. 25:23).

The Romans under Titus destroyed Jerusalem and the Temple. Daniel 9:26 "...and the people of the coming monarch (Titus and his armies) will destroy the city and the Sanctuary,.."

"Later the Jews made a desperate attempt to shake off the cruel Roman oppression. The revolt was led by Bar-Cochba, who was successfully entrenched in the stronghold of Bethar. Unfortunately, the revolt failed and was crushed by Emperor Hadrian of the Romans."

"We Jews do not want to conceal our defeat and humiliation, because we want to learn our lesson from defeats as well as from triumphs.
We realize that these calamities befell us because we had forsaken G-d and the commandments of the Torah. We realize that only by acknowledging our sins and trying to make amends will we merit G-ds mercies and be reinstated into His favor" (The Fast Of Tisha B’Av, Chabad.org). 1 kings 9:1-9 , Deut. 29:21-28).
