Islam's Holy Days And Their Significance
This year, 2010, the Muslim holy month of fasting, Ramadan, coincided with the Jewish month of Elul, the month of repentance, which preceded Rosh HaShanah (New Year, Day of Judgment for all the world’s inhabitants), the Fast of Gedaliah and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement).

At Arab/Israeli dinner, Obama invokes Islam and Judaism : Before his working dinner with Israeli and Arab leaders, President Obama invoked his guests' respective religions:

For Muslims, this is Ramadan. For Jews, this is Elul. It is rare for those two months to coincide. But this year, tonight, they do. Different faiths, different rituals, but a shared period of devotion - and contemplation. A time to reflect on right and wrong; a time to ponder one’s place in the world; a time when the people of two great religions remind the world of a truth that is both simple and profound, that each of us, all of us, in our hearts and in our lives, are capable of great and lasting change (CNN, 1 Sept. 2010).

Regarding fasting, the Quran says: "O ye who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that ye may (learn) self-restraint (al-Baqarah 2:183). That is, to control our animal powers and desires for evil - and directing them into spiritual pursuits and service of God.

There are days when all Israel fasts because of the national catstrophes and tribulations that occurred on these dates. The purpose of such fast days is to awaken us and stir our hearts toward repentance by recalling our own misdeeds as well as those of our ancestors. By remembering these misdeeds, which we continue to repeat and which brings on similar calamities, we are motivated to return to the proper path of life.

Zechariah 8:19 " So said the Lord of Hosts: The fast of the fourth [month, Tammuz], the fast of the fifth [month, Av], the fast of the seventh [month, the third of Tishrei, when Gedaliah was murdered], and the fast of the tenth [month, Teveth] shall be for the house of Judah for joy and happiness and for happy holidays-but love truth and peace."

The Fast of Tammuz, Tammuz 17, is the date when the walls of Jerusalem were breached, another major event leading up to the destruction of the First Temple. The Ninth of Av , is a fast day commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples , as well as other tragedies. The Fast of Gedaliah, Tishri 4 (Sept. 12), 2010, commemorates the killing of the Jewish governor of Judah, a critical event in the downfall of the first commonwealth. The Fast of Tevet, Tevet 10, is the beginning of the siege of Jerusalem. It has also been proclaimed a memorial day for the six million Jews who died in the Holocaust (Zechariah 12:10, Isaiah Ch.53).

PLO Flags Waved in Jerusalem and Hevron: As negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority are to continue on Tuesday, PA Arabs in Jerusalem and Hevron demonstrated their demand for control of the land by waving PLO flags. The flags were waved in a Jewish neighborhood of Hevron and on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the most holy place on earth according to Jewish tradition.

A PLO flag hung from the Al-Aksa Mosque on the Temple Mount for more than a day, in violation of a law that prohibits the display of flags or other symbols associated with a terrorist organization. Participants beat drums and waved PLO flags.

Rosh HaShanah is the Day of Judgment for all of mankind. On this day man is judged for all his actions, and all that will transpire and occur during the comming year is recorded. The Talmud (Rosh HaShanah 8a) derives this from the verse Deuteronomy 11:12 that states: "a land which the LORD thy God careth for; the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year." I.e., on Rosh HaShanah, the world is judged as to what will transpire throughout the year.  The days between Rosh Hashanah, when man's verdict is inscribed and Yom Kippur, when it is sealed, are referred to as the Ten Days of Repentance.

The four days between Yom Kippur and Sukkos the Jewish people are occupied with mitzvos; the construction of a sukkah and the purchase of an esrog and the other species which are used together with it, fulfilling the commandments of the Master of the Universe Who sanctifies His people Israel and His holy days.(Eliyahu Kitov).

Zechariah 14:16 ”And it will come to pass that everyone left of the nations who came up against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to prostrate himself to the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the festival of Tabernacles.”

The Bible describes Sukkot as the third feast of the year, the Israelis are commanded to celebrate in Jerusalem. According to Zechariah 14:16, it is a feast that also non-Jews are welcome to take part in. Thousands of supporters of Israel waving flags from close to 100 nations are expected to take part in the traditional Jerusalem march through the heart of Jerusalem during Sukkot.

Christian Zionist 'Feast' to Draw Tens of Thousands to Jerusalem: An annual Christian event during the week-long Sukkot holiday, which starts Friday night, is being promoted heavily as an international gathering bringing fervent supporters of Israel to Jerusalem. As in previous years, the festival has raised concerns among anti-missionary activists.

In 2007 the Chief Rabbinate decided to proscribe Jewish participation in the Feast and related events, saying: "It is forbidden for any Jew to take part in the gatherings in the Binyanei HaUmah Jerusalem Convention Center and in the marches taking place during the Sukkot holiday, because the information we have states that some of the bodies gathering there are active, among other things, in attempting to convert us from our faith." The grassroots anti-missionary group Jewish Israel calls the Feast of Tabernacles "a full-blown Jesus Fest for its evangelical participants - and that presents the Jewish State with a very real problem."

The feast is a remainder of the 40 years the Jewish people were wandering in the desert, living in booths, when God took them out of the land of Egypt. Numbers 10:34 "The cloud of the Lord was above them by day, when they traveled from the camp." God enveloped the Jewish people in the desert, forming a protective shelter for them against wild beasts and enemies. It is also a time to celebrate and rejoice over the Ingathering. See Leviticus 23:39-43, Exodus 23:16 and Nehemiah Chs. 8-9, where the returnees from Babylon to Judea had settled again in their ancestral towns and villages, and were made ready to return to the Torah path of life that is the purpose of Israel 's existence.

Zechariah 14:12,15 "And this shall be the plague wherewith the Lord will smite all the nations who besieged Jerusalem; his flesh will waste away while he still stands on his feet; his eyes will waste away in their sockets, and his tongue shall waste away in his mouth. And so will be the plague of the horses, the mules, the camels, the donkeys, and all the animals that are in those camps, similar to this plague." When God strikes Jerusalem's attackers, he will do the same to their army's animals. The plague of physical disintegration that will be visited on the forces of Gog and Magog is also alluded to in Isaiah 66:19 and Ezekiel 39:4.

It certainly seems like the nations are heading for a nuclear disaster (Isaiah Chs. 24, 33-35).

Succot: Festival For All Nations

In Genesis 18:16-21 Abraham learns about Sodom's destruction. The angels in the "guise" of men had left Abraham and were on their way to destroy Sodom and to rescue Lot, but God delayed the destruction until Abraham had an opportunity to intercede in its behalf.

Several Arab countries is in conflict with each other, in addition to internal conflicts. At the same time they all have declared a common enemy - Israel. The different terrorgroups, PA/Fatah, Al Aqsa Martyr Brigades, Hezballah, Hamas’ Ezzedeen Al-Qassam Brigades, etc., are all military tools of different Arab regimes, which are continuing the war against Israel - which their own armies once lost.

USA, Russia, UN, EU and Norway are first of all PA’s, Jordan’s, Egypt’s and the Saudi’s allied forces, because they will all have an all important role - to redeem one of Islamic terrors most important goal – once again, the establishment of an Arab state on Israeli territory, with Jerusalem as its capital. This will be an important goal - on Islams way to their "final goal" and a huge strategic victory for Islamic terrorism.

Representatives from the PA and Hamas have been treated like kings whenever they made “touch down” in Norway – begging for money to fund their continued Jewhate and terrorism against the Jewish People.

Hamas MP and Cleric Yunis Al-Astal in Friday Sermon, April 11, 2008: "We Will Conquer Rome – And From There, Continue On to Conquer the Two Americas, Eastern Europe"

Yunis Al-Astal: "Allah has chosen you for Himself and for His religion, so that you will serve as the engine pulling this nation to the phase of succession, security, and consolidation of power, and even to conquests thorough da'wa and military conquests of the capitals of the entire world. Very soon, Allah willing, Rome will be conquered, just like Constantinople was, as was prophesized by our Prophet Muhammad.

Today, Rome is the capital of the Catholics, or the Crusader capital, which has declared its hostility to Islam, and has planted the brothers of apes and pigs in Palestine in order to prevent the reawakening of Islam –

- this capital of theirs (Jerusalem) will be an advanced post for the Islamic conquests, which will spread through Europe in its entirety, and then will turn to the two Americas, and even Eastern Europe."

Hamas reiterates goal of world domination by Islam: Annihilation of Israel-establishment of Caliphate in Jerusalem (Israel National News, 03/27/07).

King Abdulla: "All should unite to reach a final solution-that will take us to new horizons of our joint Arab march" (Saudi Embassy, Feb 2009).

King Abdullah of Jordan's ultimatum: peace now or it’s war next year: “... if Mr Obama did not make good his promise for peace, then his credibility would evaporate overnight. “We are offering a third of the world to meet them (Israel) with open arms,” said the King. “The future is not the Jordan river or the Golan Heights or the Sinai, the future is Morocco in the Atlantic and Indonesia in the Pacific. That is the prize” (Times, May 11, 2009).

Islam seeks to fulfill its goal of nothing short than conquering the world and establishing “the global Islamic state.” This is the goal also set by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinajad, "Islam will conquer all the mountain-tops in the world." It will be very dangerous when he acquires nuclear weapons.

Film Warns of Non-Violent Muslim Takeover

Is this what you really want? Silent submission to Islam?

PJTV: Survivor Of Sharia, Wafa Sultan Now Fights Against It:  Dr. Wafaa Sultan is very well known among Muslims in Arabic countries as well as Muslims in the west. She is now living in America. She has been at open discussion in several Arabic TV channels including Aljazeera. No one is able to silence her, because she knows about the reality of Islam from within. She also know how the Muslims in the west believe, think and plan.  In 1933, the Nazis came to power in Germany. Look at the video and see what is happening today, and who wants to berave you of your democracy (Youtube).

Eid Al-Fitr is a holiday marking the end of Ramadan . Al Qassam congratulates Arab & Muslim on Eid: Ezzedeen Al Qassam Brigades congratulate the Palestinian, Arab and Muslim nations for receiving Al Fitr Eid. The Brigades said "we remind the whole world that the Jerusalem is still under the Israeli occupation".

“We congratulate the martyrs families, who sacrificed themselves to restore our rights.” “The Brigades continue in the path of preparing itself to confront the enemies of the mankind [Israel], and confirm that it is proceeding on the path of resistance. The Brigades is more belief in the correctness of its approach” (Al Qassam Website,10-09-2010). The Muslim terrorists in Gaza spent Ramadan to kill Jews and fire rockets into Israel, instead of fasting to prevent tribulations and catastrophes and a return to the proper path of life.

Hamas Uses Phosphorous Bombs: IDF experts who examined some of the mortar shells fired at Israeli communities on Wednesday found that the explosives used contained phosphorous. The finding shows that Hamas has gained more advanced weapons technology, they said. Senior Hamas terrorist Ahmed Jabri released a statement calling to continue the attacks “until victory.” “By our faith, our weapons, our rockets, our tunnels and our martyrs – given to us by Allah – we will achieve victory in the land of Palestine,” he told followers (INN, 09/15/10).

Gaza Film Shows Destruction of Israel: Gaza filmmakers Mohammed al-Amrity and Ayman Hijazi have released a film that portrays, in detail, the takeover of Israel by Arab Muslims and the destruction of vital Israel and Jewish institutions. The film is titled “The Great Liberation.” (INN, 09/15/10).

Eid al-Adha the "Festival of Sacrifice" or "Greater Eid" is an other important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Abraham (Ibrahim) to sacrifice his son Ishmael as an act of obedience to God, but instead was able to sacrifice a ram (by God's command). But i s this claim really true?

"For Muslims, Ishmael, the father of the Arabs, Abraham's other son, is the one who Abraham bound and almost sacrificed to the Lord. Ishmael and not Isaac. In their minds Abraham is the first Muslim, Islam is the true religion, and Muslims are the chosen people; it is they who "will inherit the cities of their enemies"
(Genesis 22:17). The fundamental disagreement as to who was at the Akeida, the Binding, is at the root of the Arab-Jewish conflict. Isaac, the grandfather of the twelve tribes of Israel was chosen to represent Abraham and his ideals forever. He and his offspring only, the Jewish people, are the true representatives of Abraham's heritage. (Yishai Fleisher, Moshiach bin Laden, INN, 09/18/03).

These verses give evidence to this truth: "And they blessed Rebecca and said to her, "Our sister, may you become thousands of myriads, and may your seed inherit the cities of their enemies" (Genesis 24:60, Daniel 7:10). Rebekah and her seed received that blessing that was stated to Abraham on Mount Moriah (Gen. 22:17, 26:1-5, 28:10-22).

Rashi (Gen. 21:10) tells us that Ishmael contested Isaac's inheritance from Abraham, claiming priority as the firstborn. The descendants of Ishmael dispute Isaac's inheritance until today, claiming that the heritage of Abraham is theirs. Thus the concept of submission, which is central to the faith of Abraham, has a prominent place in Islam.

According to the Moslems, Abraham's binding of his son -- the archetypal case of submission to G-d -- was performed on Ishmael on a mountain in Arabia. According to Islam; Ibrahim and Isma'il set off to Mina for the sacrifice. Mina is a desert location situated to the east of the
Islamic holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia .It stands on the road from Mecca's city centre to the Hill of Arafat . In this way a tradition that is little more than 1300 years old mirrors a far more ancient tradition that has been preserved faithfully in writing and by word of mouth from generation to generation for over three thousand five hundred years.

The mountain where Abraham and Isaac performed the supreme act of submission, each in his own way, is none other than Mount Moriah, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The Torah testifies that this is the mountain where G-d will be seen and revealed (Gen. 22:14). (Lessons for Humanity from the Weekly Parshah VAYEIRAbyRabbi Avraham Greenbaum,

In the words of Anwar Shaikh: "Yahwe, the Jewish God, had chosen them as His own people by entering into covenants with the Jewish patriarchs such as Noah and Abraham. The latter had two sons: Isaac and Ishmael. The Bible clearly declares in Genesis 17-18 that God made an everlasting covenant with Isaac, the Jewish patriarch, but the Koran states quite differently:

“We (God) made covenant with Abraham and Ishmael.” (The Cow: 115).

There is no historical evidence whatever that the Jews altered the Old Testament to this effect. They did not need to do so because this statement had existed in their Scriptures many centuries before the Koran was composed. This is how the Prophet transferred the Divine sanctity to his own nation to make them feel exalted. Glorification of Allah by the Prophet as the supreme and the only God is a part of Arab nationalism."

For converting the Jews to his faith, the Prophet adored Abraham, the common ancestor of the Jews and the Arabs to identify them as one nation. The Koran says: “The best religion has he who foilows the creed of Abraham, a man of pure faith, and a Friend of God.” (Woman: 120). He went even further to address his Arab followers: “(Islam is) the creed of your father Abraham: He named you Muslims” (The Pilgrimage: 75).

When the Jews ignored this loving approach, they were enveloped by the apostolic wrath. The Prophet demoted Jerusalem as the Kibla of the Muslims and bestowed this honour on Kaaba, the Arab sanctuary. He went even further tc lay a curse on the Jews: “God has cursed them for their unbelief.” (Women: 45).

Over the last 1400 years the Muslim scholars have interpreted this curse to mean that the Jews shall remain homeless for ever and shall never have a national government of their own. The Muslims want to drown all Israelites because the state of Israel contradicts this Koranic verse. Since the Jews refused to be a part of the Arab nation, their condemnation as an accursed race was not sufficient. Creation of a pure nation, demanded that the Jews must be expelled from Arabia. So, the policy of ethnic cleansing was adopted, and the Jews were banished. At this juncture, one ought to remember that Islam is less a religion and more an Arab National Movement (Islam The Arab National Movement).

"Who said, "Let us inherit for ourselves the dwellings of God." That was Edom, Ishmael and all their allies! " My God, make them like thistles, like stubble before the wind..."(Psalm 83:13-14, see also Ezekiel 36:1-8, II Chronicles 20:5-29). See "The Threshing Floor."

Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the Hajj , the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide, descend from Mount Arafat . Mina is best known for the role it plays during the annual Hajj pilgrimage. In the valley of Mina is the Jamarat Bridge , the location of the Stoning of the Devil ritual, performed on the last day of the Hajj.

The ritual re-enacts
Abraham 's pilgrimage to Mecca as explained by the Muslim historian al-Azraqi : “When he [Abraham] left Mina and was brought down to (the defile called) al-Aqaba, the Devil appeared to him at Stone-Heap of the Defile. Gabriel said to him: "Pelt him!" so Abraham threw seven stones at him so that he disappeared from him. Then he appeared to him at the Middle Stone-Heap. Gabriel said to him: "Pelt him!" so he pelted him with seven stones so that he disappeared from him. Then he appeared to him at the Little Stone-Heap. Gabriel said to him: "Pelt him!" so he pelted him with seven stones like the little stones for throwing with a sling . So the Devil withdrew from him.

All three jamarat represent the devil: the first and largest represents his temptation of Abraham against sacrificing Ishmael , the second represents the temptation of Abraham's wife Hagar to induce her to stop him, and the third represents his temptation of Ishmael to avoid being sacrificed. He was rebuked each time, and the throwing of the stones symbolizes those rebukes (Wikipedia).

Throwing stones at Jews is based in ancient Islamic ritual. Stoning is a form of capital punishment whereby an organized group throws stones at the individual until the person dies.

Islamic sermons repeatedly emphasize the connection between the Jews and Satan.  What is the proper way to deal with an insolent Jew? To throw stones. “Allah commands Moslems to fight the friends of Satan wherever they are to be found. Among the friends of Satan—indeed, among the foremost friends of Satan in the present age—are the Jews.” (Dr. Abdul Halim Mahmoud as quoted by Prof Paul Eidelberg, in "PLO Terrorism and the Grand Strategy", Palestinian Media Watch, March 12, 2001).

Muslims Accuse Israel of ‘Sacrilege’ after Stoning Jews: The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Saturday charged Israeli police with sacrilege for surrounding the Temple Mount’s Al-Aqsa mosque on Friday to stop Arab stoning attacks on Jews trying to pray at Western Wall (Kotel). It called for international intervention to "end Israeli aggression."

The Arab attacks on Jews followed a sermon that area residents said encouraged Muslim violence. Nearly three dozen policemen and Arabs were injured in the clash, and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said the Israeli defense of Jews could spark a “religious war.” The OIC accused Israel of an "a sacrilegious act of profanation of the holy Islamic site [that was] "a violation of international law and a flagrant attack on the freedom of religion of the nature that could take the region into a war between religions” (INN, 03/06/10).

PA Rock Attacks Continue; Victim in Serious Condition: As Palestinian Authority Arabs continue to attack Jewish drivers in Judea and Samaria, one victim has already been partially blinded and remains seriously hurt. PA militias carried out multiple attacks along Judea and Samaria roads on Friday and Saturday. A rock attack was reported on Saturday night between Kiryat Arba and Hevron; no injuries were reported.

Sura – 18:50 The Cave (Al-Kahf) says: ”We said to the angels, "Fall prostrate before Adam." They fell prostrate, except Satan. He became a jinn, for he disobeyed the order of his Lord. Will you choose him and his descendants as lords instead of Me, even though they are your enemies? What a miserable substitute!”

However, Satan is one of the many angels mentioned in the Bible. Throughout the Bible, an angel is a messenger of God who carries out the divine will of the Almighty. There is not one example in the Jewish scriptures where any angel, Satan included, opposes God's will.

They argue that Isaiah’s (14:12) mention of the fallen "morning star" refers to Satan: Christian Bible, NKJ, Isaiah 14:12 "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!"

There are, however, two serious problems with this assertion. First, if Christians maintain that the "morning star" is a reference to Satan, how do they explain Revelation 22:16 where Jesus is called the "morning star" as well?

"And He (Jesus) said to them, "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning" (Luke 10:18).

"And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit" (Revelation 9:1).

"I (Jesus) am he that liveth, and was dead and, behold,I am alive for evermore, Amen, and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelation 1:18 KJV).

Secondly, a cursory reading of the fourteenth chapter of Isaiah reveals that the "morning star" spoken of in Isaiah 14:12 is referring to Nebuchadnessar, the wicked King of Babylon, and not to Satan. In 14:4 the prophet explicitly names the king of Babylon as the subject of the prophecy.

Revelation 12:7-9 ”And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him."

The story of Revelation 12:7-9 is taken from a mixture of verses in the Book of Daniel; some words, as we can see from the crossreferences, from verses 12:1, 10:13,21 and made in to a subtle story which has no root in reality.

Daniel 12:1, 10:13,21 is describing the War of Gog and Magog in the end of days, it is about Michael, the guardian angel of Israel, the angel Gabriel and the angel that guides the destiny of Persia, and not a war ”between Michael and the great dragon, called Devil and Satan who was cast to earth.”

The hebrew word ”satan” may be translated as ”adversary.” And the Lord raised up an adversary (satan) against Solomon, Hadad, the Edomite;.. And God raised up another adversary (satan) unto him, Rezon the son of Eliada,.. And he assembled men around him, and he became commander over a battalion when David slew them, and they went to Damascus and settled there and ruled in Damascus. And he was an adversary (satan) to Israel all of Solomon's days with the evil that was caused by Hadad, and he detested Israel." (1 Kings 11:14,23-25).

Throughout the ages Israel and the Jewish people have had many adversaries, but as Psalm 89:24 says: "I shall crush his adversaries from before him (David, Israel), and I shall strike his enemies."
