Netanyahu to Lebanon, Hamas: 'Don't Test Us'
Netanyahu issues warning to Israel's enemies, following a series of attacks on Israel on several fronts. "I want to make clear to Hamas, and also to the government of Lebanon which we hold responsible for the violent provocation against our soldiers: do not test our determination to protect the citizens of Israel and its soldiers" (INN, 08/04/10).

Inside Look at Advanced Hamas Arsenal: Gaza's ruling Hamas terrorist organization has managed to amass an advanced arsenal as it prepares to wage war against Israel, despite the best efforts of the Jewish State to prevent the entry of materials that would allow the group to manufacture the advanced weapons. With the help of a translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI), Israel National News provides an inside look at the group's war machine.

Ï Kings 11:14,23-25 "And the Lord raised up an adversary  (satan) against Solomon, Hadad, the Edomite;.. And God raised up another adversary unto him, Rezon the son of Eliada,.. And he assembled men around him, and he became commander over a battalion when David slew them, and they went to Damascus and settled there and ruled in Damascus..."

Hamas Chief: Shalit's freedom depends on prisoner exchange: Hamas' Khaled Mashaal speaks at Damascus gathering marking organization's 20th anniversary, says groups reject European offer to mediate ceasefire with Israel; Gilad Shalit's freedom depends on Israel's freeing senior Palestinian prisoners. "Hamas is still strong and will continue its Jihad despite the attempts to weaken it," said Mashaal, acknowledging that the organization has made some mistakes in the past, but saying they were unavoidable, "as we are all human"

"And he was an adversary (satan) to Israel all of Solomon's days with the evil that was caused by Hadad, and he detested Israel." The adversaries would come to test and try the House of David, to see if they would remain faithful to God’s Torah. See II Samuel 7:14 and Psalm 89:20-38.

Who Is Satan?

Isaiah 60:18 "Violence (Hebrew: "hamas") shall no more be heard in thy land, desolation nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation, and thy gates Praise." See also Zephaniah 2:1-11, Ezekiel 25:14-17. It appears that present-day Hamas was brought into existence for the purpose of being wiped out very soon in fulfillment of these prophecies. We also look forward to the re-fulfillment of the prophecy of Isaiah 14:28-30 against the Philistines of our time, when the fire of violence and destruction that today emanate from Gaza will be extinguished forever "and the firstborn of the poor (Israel, Ex. 4:22-23, Hosea 11:1-4) shall feed and the needy shall lie down in safety."

"And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the eyes of the Lord and they served the Baalim. And they forsook the God of their forefathers, Who had brought them up from the land of Egypt, and they went after other gods, of the gods of the nations that were around them, and they bowed to them and they provoked the Lord. And they forsook the Lord and served the Baal and the Ashtaroth.
And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He delivered them into the hands of spoilers and they spoiled them, and He gave them over into the hands of their enemies around, and they could no longer stand before their enemies. Wherever they went out, the hand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had spoken and as the Lord had sworn to them, and they were greatly distressed.
And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel and He said, "Because this nation has transgressed my covenant (the Torah) which I commanded their forefathers and have not obeyed Me, I too will not continue to drive out any man from before them, of the nations that Joshua left and he died. In order to test Israel through them, whether they would keep the way of the Lord to walk therein as their forefathers did keep it, or not" ( Judges 2:11-15,20-22).

Judges 3:1-4  "Now these are the nations which the Lord left through whom to test Israel, all those that had not known all the wars of Canaan. Only that the generations of the children of Israel should know, to teach them war, just the earlier ones did not know thereof. The five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Zidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal-hermon to the passageway of Hamath. And they were to test through them Israel, to know whether they would obey the commandments of the Lord which He had commanded their forefathers through Moses."

So, instead of enjoying peace and prosperity in the Land pursuing the Torah, Israel is forced to learn the art of warfare, and the very flower of the country's youth are sacrificed on the altar of war. Throughout the ages Israel and the Jewish people have had many adversaries, but as Psalm 89:24 says: "I shall crush his adversaries from before him, and I shall strike his enemies."

Isaiah 42:19-23 ”Who is blind but My servant, and deaf as My messenger whom I will send? He who was blind is as the one who received his payment, and he who was blind is as the servant of the Lord. There is much to see but you do not observe, to open the ears but no one listens." Those who were formerly blind and deaf to God’s will, will repent and become His servants and messengers (Targum). Israel’s suffering in exile was ordained by God to cleanse them of their sins (Leviticus 26:39-46), just as the Torah was given to them for that purpose (Kara).

The Lord desires [this] for His righteousness' sake; He magnifies the Torah and strengthens it. And it is a robbed and pillaged people; all their youths are grieved, and they are hidden in dungeons; they are subject to plunderers, and none rescues [them], to pillagers, and no one says, "Return." Who among you will hearken to this, will listen and hear for the future?

Isaiah 42:24-25 ”Who subjected Jacob to plunder and Israel to spoilers? Was it not the Lord? This, that we sinned against Him, and they did not want to go in His way and did not hearken to His Torah.
And He poured out upon them the fury of His anger and the strength of battle, and it blazed upon them all around and they did not know, and it burned among them and they did not take heed.” This section warned that because of the people's sins God would pour out His anger upon them, sending war. Isaiah describes the depredations of the exile, and criticizes the people for not returning to God to alleviate their frightful situation.

Isaiah 43:2-3 immediately promises that God will nevertheless redeem them:
” When you pass through water (Red Sea), I am with you, and in rivers, they (the enemies) shall not overflow you; when you go amidst fire, you shall not be burnt, neither shall a flame burn amongst you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your stead."

st as God split the waters of the sea in order to save Israel from the Egyptians, so He will save them from the "fire" in time to come. "Since you are precious in My eyes. I will give men for you and peoples for your life.” The Talmud relates: "Once when Rabbi Elazar went into the restroom, a heathen came in and pushed him aside. Rabbi Elazar stood up and left, after which a serpent entered and pulled out the heathen's entrails. Rabbi Elazar then applied to him the verse, 'I will give men (ADAM) for you.', saying, Read the word not as ADAM but EDOM !" (Berachos 62b).

Zechariah 13:8-9 "And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried; they shall call on My name, and I will answer them; I will say: 'It is My people', and they shall say: 'The LORD is my God.'

According to Metzudas David, the "land" refers to the whole world, and the "two parts" refer to all the other nations, who are included under Edom and Ishmael, while the "third" that will be left refers to Israel. Rashi interprets the "third" that will be left as those members of the other nations who will convert.

"Therefore, if you belong to a religion which comprise more than a third of the population of the world, check your theology, the Jews are a minority" (Rabbi Tovia Singer).

The Day of God will not bring destruction to Israel but rather their cleansing from their previous idolatry, abominations and arrogance, so that they will again be fit to celebrate on God's holy mountain in the Temple (Tzefaniah 3:8-20). "THE LORD SHALL BE FEARED BY THEM (the nations), for He weakened all the gods of the earth. And every man shall prostrate himself to Him from his place, all the isles of the nations" (Tzefaniah 2:11). The destruction of the nations and their gods will bring them to fear HaShem. "For then I will convert the peoples to a pure language that all of them call in the name of the Lord, to worship Him of one accord" (Tzefaniah 3:9, Zec. 13:8-9, 14:9,16, Hosea 2:18-25, Deut. 6:4, Isaiah 66:14-24, Ezekiel Ch. 46). These are the peoples who will remain after the war of Gog and Magog.

"You shall remember what Amalek did to you on the way, when you went out of Egypt, how he happened upon on the way and cut off all the stragglers at your rear, when you were faint and weary, AND HE DID NOT FEAR GOD" (Deuteronomy 25:17-18). One option the Torah offers for ”wiping out the memory of Amalek” is to teach them the Torah and the fear of God.

As the rumblings of war dominate the news in Israel and the shofar-blasts of Elul herald the war against the Evil Inclination (Amalek within), this week’s Torah portion of Ki Tetzei begins and ends with the concept of war: From the scenario of the “captive woman” to the attack of Amalek. What’s the connection between the beginning and the end? What’s Amalek’s secret weapon, and how can Elul neutralize it? Tune in to this week’s Temple Talk for answers!

Amalek Within by Rabbi Mordecai Finley: "On a political level, when I think of Islamic extremist hatred of America and Israel, I see Amalek at work..."

Zechariah 14:16 "
And it will come to pass that everyone left of the nations who came up against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to prostrate himself to the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the festival of Tabernacles." See also Isaiah Ch. 4.

The War of Gog and Magog will be a turbulent and difficult time for Israel filled with troubles and trials. (Jeremia 30:7-11, Daniel 12:1) for a short period. And God will test His people to see if they will stand firm in their faith (Deuteronomy  26:16-19, Ezekiel 22:18-22, Malachi 3:1-4).

"And the LORD shall scatter you (Israel, the Lost Tribes) among the peoples, and ye shall be left few in number among the nations, whither the LORD shall lead you away. And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. But from thence (the exile) ye will seek the LORD thy God; and thou shalt find Him, if thou search after Him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

In thy distress, when all these things are come upon thee (the choice between the blessing or the curse, i.e., the choice of whether to accept the Torah or not, see Deut. Ch. 30), in the end of days, thou wilt return to the LORD thy God, and hearken unto His voice; for the LORD thy God is a merciful God; He will not fail thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which He swore unto them" (Deuteronomy 4:27-31, 11:26-28, Ch. 28, Leviticus Ch. 26, Jeremiah 30:7-11).

Isaiah 24:1-6 "Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the creditor, so with the debtor.

The earth shall be utterly emptied, and clean despoiled; for the LORD hath spoken this word. The earth fainteth and fadeth away, the world faileth and fadeth away, the lofty people of the earth do fail. The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws (two Torahs, the Written and the Oral, cf. Lev. 26:46), violated the statute, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath a curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are found guilty; therefore the inhabitants of the earth waste away, and men are left few."

This prophecy refers to the earth as a whole and to the devastation that will strike the nations at the time of the redemption of Israel including both the Lost Ten Tribes (Israel) and the people of Judah (Jews). If this prophesy refers to Israel, it is referring to the transgression of the two Torahs, the written and the oral (Metzudas David). If it refers to the nations of the world, it refers to the transgression of the Seven Laws of Noah and their persecution of Israel in excess of what God decreed, thereby violating the covenant of brotherhood (Amos 1:9-11) that should have existed between Esau, Ammon, Moab and Ishmael and their close relative Israel (

Ezekiel 39:6-8 "And I will send a fire on Magog, and on them that dwell safely in the isles; and they shall know that I am the LORD. And My holy name will I make known in the midst of My people Israel; neither will I suffer My holy name to be profaned any more; and the nations shall know that I am the LORD, the Holy One in Israel. Behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord GOD; This is the day whereof I have spoken." Gog is the name of the king or leader of an unholy alliance of nations, while Magog is the name of his people.

"For the violence done to thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever. In the day that thou didst stand aloof, in the day that strangers carried away his substance, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them. But thou shouldest not have gazed on the day of thy brother in the day of his disaster, neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress..." (Obadiah 1:9-16). Here the prophet Obadiah chastises Edom for joining Israel's enemies in looting and delighting in her misfortune.

Joel 4:1-4: "For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring back the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land... And also what are ye to Me, O Tyre (Edom), and Zidon, and all the regions of Philistia? will ye render retribution on My behalf?
and if ye render retribution on My behalf, swiftly, speedily will I return your retribution upon your own head."

The Vilna Gaon said that the last war, Milchemet Gog uMagog, is going to last only 12 minutes because they are going to have such weapons…. We know that the final redemption, the final Geula, it's going to be like when you left Egypt – only one-fifth of our people left Egypt. Four-fifths perished… during the plague of darkness.

In order to reverse negative prophecies which warn of pain, suffering, famine, and death during the end of days, Rebbetzin Jungreis says one must first understand the imminence of the arrival of the Messiah.

Leviticus 26:1-9 promises that if Israel will keep the Shabbat, walk in His statutes and do His commandments, God "will cause evil beasts (the enemies, Hamas, PA/Fatah) to cease out of the land," He will give peace in the land and the Jewish people will dwell safely in the land. See also Isaiah 54:10, Ezekiel 34:21-31, 37:21-28, Jeremiah 17:19-27.

Arab World Loses Hope for Change Under Obama: Arabs' belief that U.S. President Barack Obama could deliver on promises for a “new beginning” have been dashed, an annual survey of  public opinion in Middle Eastern countries shows. While Obama has been claiming that his “outstretched hand” approach will win the U.S. new friends in the Mideast, the poll suggests otherwise... Arabs have “grown frustrated at Obama's perceived failure to deliver on the promise of the 'new beginning' outlined in Cairo and had begun to lose hope in his ability to meaningfully change American policies towards the region” (INN, 08/08/10).

CIA Report on Iran War: Israel Will Be Destroyed: In a memo to the US President Barack Obama, a group of former CIA intelligence officers at the Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity warned that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is ready to go unilateral on Iran. "Wider war could eventually result in destruction of the state of Israel," the group said.
"Blindsiding has long been an arrow in Israel's quiver," the group said on Thursday. To prevent such a 'disaster', the former officials wrote, the White House should "move quickly to pre-empt an Israeli attack by publicly condemning such a move before it happens." If Obama fails to do so "Israel's leaders would calculate that once the battle is joined, it will be politically untenable for you to give anything less than unstinting support to Israel," the memo continues. (Al Manar TV, 06/08/2010).

U.S. wants to give Iran sanctions time to work: The U.S. has enough "wiggle room" to give sanctions time to work against Iran before turning to other ways to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons, Jim Jones, President Obama's national security adviser, told CNN on Wednesday. "We want to give these sanctions a good shot at working before we do anything else," he said. "We have indications, as the president said last week, that the sanctions are in fact causing them a great deal of difficulty, that the nuclear program is not quite as progressive as some might have thought a year ago," Jones said.(Aug 11, 2010, Reuters).

This will trigger a huge arms race in the World - saving the US economy (?)

Sanctions also caused poverty stricken North Korea a great deal of difficulty, but it did not prevent them from developing nuclear weapons, two nuclear tests - preparing for the third, providing Iran and Syria with aid for their missile programs and nuclear technology, attempt to supply Hamas in Gaza and Hizbullah in Lebanon with  rockets and rocket-propelled grenades, threatening the US with nuclear strike and South Korea with 'Holy War.'  See 'Potters Clay.'

IAEA: Iran activates enrichment equipment: Iran has activated equipment to enrich uranium more efficiently in a move that defies the UN Security Council, the International Atomic Energy Agency said Monday. The Vienna-based nuclear watchdog said Iran has started using a second set of 164 centrifuges linked in a cascade, or string of machines, to enrich uranium to up to 20% at its Natanz pilot fuel enrichment plant. Another cascade there has been producing uranium enriched to near 20% since February. At 20%, it can be turned into weapons-grade material much more quickly than less-enriched uranium. (10 Aug. 2010, AP).

Mottaki Warns West Will Regret Sanctions:
Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said the West will "regret" its decision to impose "illegal" sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program. "Like previous years, we will make the West feel sorry for its illegal moves,.."  He said that imposing sanctions against Iran by the European Union was not a new issue and added that "the US hegemony has overshadowed the policies of Europe."
The Iranian foreign minister said the EU unilateral sanctions against Iran would lead to the loss of opportunities for the bloc to make economic interaction with Iran. He said that the incorrect policies of the EU over the past five years made Iran establish its foreign economic relations with other parts of the world. "We have great potential to form our economic cooperation with other countries in line with these resolutions," he said. (Al Manar TV, 12/08/2010).

What Would the EU Bloc Do? Brazil, China, Russia?

NEW HOPE: EU: Abbas close to accepting direct Mideast peace talks: Letter by EU FM Ashton indicates planned Quartet proposal will demand Israel should halt settlement building in the West Bank and reach a full peace agreement with the Palestinians within 24 months, creating a state on the basis of the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war (Haaretz, 13.08.10).

PA Violence Continues; Direct Talks Reported to be Near: Palestinian Authority Arab terrorist groups have stepped up their attacks in Judea and Samaria as pressure over Israel-PA negotiations increases and rumors swirl regarding an impending move to direct talks. Two IDF soldiers and a civilian woman were wounded in rock-throwing attacks in the past week. In other such attacks, vehicles were damaged but the passengers escaped injury. In one such case, a driver escaped unscathed despite being targeted by a barrage of Molotov cocktails; the vehicle was damaged.

Abbas worst nightmare is getting into direct peace negotiations with Israel, because he knows that he cannot make peace with Israel, no matter how the agreement or where the ’Aushwitz borders’ might be drawn. Ehud Olmert offered him a better deal in 2008 than Barak offered Arafat in 2000. They both rejected the gererous offer, because Arab Islamic national demands forbids an agreement which will  recognize the legitimacy of Israel.

Fatah song: Terrorists who killed 37 were "heroic" and "birds of prey": A public Fatah event held this month under the auspices of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas included a song celebrating Fatah's 1978 terror attack in which 37 Israeli civilians were murdered in a bus hijacking. In addition, two summer camps for Palestinian youth were named after Dalal Mughrabi, the terrorist who led the 1978 attack, and participants wore shirts with Mughrabi's picture. The Secretary of Fatah in Bethlehem, Yousuf Al-Aref, explained that "naming such summer camps after the shahida (martyr) Dalal Mughrabi strengthens the sense of belonging and citizenship among Palestinian girls."

What Would Obama Do? Obama about to betray Israel, says former intel official : A former top US intelligence official warns that the Obama Administration is about to break America's long ties of friendship with Israel, and maybe even take steps toward the dissolution of the Jewish state. "I have every reason to believe, based on what I’ve seen at my level of [security] clearance especially over the last several years, that Israel will soon be completely on their own… or worse."

The Obama Administration is preparing to "provide more support to Arab countries [with] financial and military aid, undercutting Israel’s defense efforts all while pushing Israel to succumb to the pressure of unreasonable demands designed to end with their political annihilation as a nation," said the source.

White House links Iran nukes to Palestinian state
The Obama Administration on Sunday did what Israelis have long feared and pleaded with the US to avoid when White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel linked the resolution of the Iran nuclear crisis to the creation of a Palestinian state. Speaking at the annual Washington conference of the American-Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Ynet quoted Emanuel as insisting that the ability to confront Iran and reach a diplomatic solution over its defiant nuclear program was solely dependent on progress toward the birth of "Palestine."

Emanuel said that with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu scheduled to meet with US President Barack Obama later this month, Israel now faces a moment of truth - it can either acquiesce to international demands and in return have its most serious threats dealt with, or maintain the status quo and have those threats persist.

Report: Obama leverages Iran to extract Israeli concessions
US President Barack Obama has more or less officially offered Israel firm pressure on Iran to halt its nuclear program if Israel agrees to stop building homes for Jews in areas claimed by the Palestinian Arabs. According to the proposal outlined in the article, Obama would put heavy diplomatic pressure on Iran and possibly even impose new sanctions if Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu halted most current construction projects and refused to approve any new ones in Judea, Samaria and the eastern half of Jerusalem.

Commentators noted that Obama appears to not see Iran's nuclear program as a threat to US security, and so feels free to use it as a bargaining chip to obtain concessions from Israel.

" He who stops up his ear from the cry of a poor man-he, too, will cry out and not be answered." God deals with all Middah Ke-Neged Middah, "measure for measure." And God gives each one according to his ways and according to the fruits of his actions (Jeremiah 17:10, 32:19, Psalm 62:13, Obdiah 1:10-15).

US: $60 Billion Weapons Sale to Saudis Won’t Change Balance: Saudi Arabia’s shopping list for American-made weapons has swelled to $60 billion, double the amount estimated for the previously announced purchase of 84 F-15 warplanes. The oil kingdom now is interested in 132 attack helicopters worth another $30 billion, but the Obama administration insists, “The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not affect the basic military balance in the region."

But the addition of the attack helicopters has raised the question of the military balance in the Middle East nevertheless: The proposed sale of the choppers includes approximately 70 UH-60 Black Hawk attack helicopters and as many as 60 Longbow Apache attack helicopters.
The American military-industrial complex, a phrase coined by General Dwight D. Eisenhower when he completed his two-term presidency in 1960, will be kept busy with the proposed sales at a time when the American economy faces a possible “double-dip recession”  (Israel National News, 08/15/10).

Barak Gives Thumbs Up for F-35 Advanced Fighter: The F-35 plane in Israel "will give the Air Force the best capability in the short and long range and allow Israel to maintain aerial superiority,” he said in a statement. Purchasing the F-35 may alleviate worries that the weapons sales to Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries will destroy Israel’s military advantage.

A Pentagon official said last month that “the ball is in their [Israel’s] court to close a $3 billion to buy 19 of the warplanes. Lockheed Martin, the manufacturer of the F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter aircraft, is known to be anxious over sales because of European countries’ reviews of spending programs.

The manufacturer has promoted the F-35 as the centerpiece for 21st century global security while strengthening international political and industrial partnerships. The fighter plane combines advanced stealth with fighter speed and agility, fully fused sensor information, network-enabled operations and advanced sustainment.

And I repeat, as a NATO member, Turkey is privy to U.S weaponry, tactics, and intelligence. Any provision of assistance to Turkey today, however, could be akin to transferring it to Hamas, Hezbullah, Syria, Sudan, Iran, China or Russia.

Turkey to Produce the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter's Jet Engines (, Aug. 2010).

Now, Turkey is hosting Ahmadinejad, advocating for Iran's nuclear program, developing an Iranian oil field, transferring Iranian arms to Hezbollah, openly supporting Hamas, viciously condemning Israel.

Turkey Deploys Air Defense System To ‘Defend’ Syria, Iran Against Israel Raids: The Turkish daily Hurriyet quoted a military source as saying that “this move aims at repelling a US or Israeli attack against Iran or Syria.” (, May, 2010).

Does President Obama really want to deliver the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter which comes with an Elbit-made helmet also to a hostile Turkey, as promised, in 2014? And should Turkey still be a member of NATO?

Turkish defense company KaleKalip, a Kale Holding affiliate, will produce F-135 engines of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, Turkey's state minister for foreign trade said. The F-135 engine is being built by U.S. company United Technologies Corp. for the world's biggest fighter aircraft program. UTC is also the manufacturer of Sikorsky helicopters.

Minister Zafer Çaglayan, who met UTC executives during his visit to the United States last week, said the company started talks with KaleKalip last year. "They will sign a deal next week," Çaglayan said. "At first, KaleKalip will manufacture more than 90 percent of F-135 engines, and later they will manufacture all of them." KaleKalip's engine plant will be the second engine manufacturer of Turkey after TEI, the manufacturer of engines for F-16 fighter jets" (Hurriyet, July 25, 2010).

If I were an IAF pilot I would be very worried if I had a jet engine built in Turkey.

Habakkuk 2:15-16-17 " Woe to him who gives his friend to drink, who adds Your venom and also makes him drunk in order to gaze upon their nakedness." The Talmud relates that Nebuchadnezzar would get the exiled kings he held in captivity in Babylon very drunk and then make sport and sodomize them (Shabbos 149b). This expresses the Babylonian method of pretending to be very friendly and getting their victims to feel so relaxed that they would reveal their most sensitive secrets (See II Kings 20:12-19). (
"You have become sated more from disgrace than from honor. You, too, drink and become clogged up. The cup of the right hand of the Lord shall be turned upon you, and disgrace upon your glory." MIDDAH KE-NEGED MIDDAH, "measure for measure", Babylon's shame would also be revealed in the eyes of all and she too would drink the cup of poison. "because of the blood of man (ADAM-Israel)  and the violence of the land (of Israel), a city (Jerusalem), and all its inhabitants (the Jewish people).

May not this also be an expression of God's vengeance for the crimes of the nations? You too, shall become clogged up with bewilderment and with astonishment of heart, naked and bare.

According to the Financial Times (16.8.2010) U.S. President Barack Obama, have warned Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, that if his country wants to purchase United States weapons, it must change its foreign affairs policy regarding both Israel and Iran.

Al-Qaida warns Turkey to cut ties with Israel : In message posted on militant Web site, Ayman al-Zawahri saysTurkey government was showing sympathy to Palestinians with aid shipments on one hand, while cooperating with the Israeli military on the other (Haaretz, 15.08.10).

What about the US $60 Billion Weapons Sale to the Saudis? Or what about the US arms sales to Arab League states worth $500 million by Egypt, Oman and Tunisia for air defense upgrade, aircraft and naval ship support as well as helicopters (see 'Potters Clay').

Wouldn't it be fair if  U.S. President Barack Obama question their hostile attitude towards Israel and "strained Israel ties", too? And demand they change their foreign affairs policy regarding Israel, if they want to purchase United States weapons?

Jordan Submits $220M Weapons Wish List to USA: The weapons Jordan wants to buy will provide its armed forces with a long-range precision artillery support capability that will significantly improve US-Jordan interoperability and provide for the defense of vital installations. What exactly is Jordan looking for? See Defense Industry Daily, 21-Feb-2010.

Jordanians protest 'recognition of Zionist entity' by way of tourism: Protesters object to package tours to East Jerusalem, as they require obtaining visa from Israeli authorities. "Obtaining a visa from the Israeli embassy is tantamount to a recognition of the Zionist entity that bestows legality on the occupation of the holy city," the president of the Trade Unions Council, Ahmad Armouti, said.

Israel captured East Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank from Jordan during (a war of self defense), the  Six-Day War of 1967.
Jordan and Israel signed a peace treaty in 1994, under which Israel acknowledged Amman's right to look after both the Islamic and Christian holy shrines in East Jerusalem. But Jordan's Islamic-led opposition and professional societies still oppose the peace pact and have campaigned to derail any normalization of ties between the kingdom and Israel (Haaretz, 09.08.10).

King Abdullah of Jordan's ultimatum: peace now or it’s war next year:
“If we delay our peace negotiations, then there is going to be another conflict between Arabs or Muslims and Israel in the next 12-18 months,” the King said (Sunday Times, May 11, 2009).

No one, including the president of the United States of America nor the Prime Minister of Israel or Abbas can presume to tell a Jew that they cannot live in the area of their national homeland. In the area of Judea and Samaria, where prophets and priests fashioned the most humanist and moral religion and culture on the Earth, Jews are now termed “illegals.”

Abbas: No Jews will be allowed in Palestine: "I will never allow a single Israeli to live among us on Palestinian land,” Abbas declared. Israel is home to a sizable proportion of Arab citizens, who have the vote and are represented by Arab parties in the Knesset.

The Palestinian Authority is accused of corruption by many but receives more humanitarian aid per capita from the international community than any other country in the world. The billions of dollars that are meant for schools, hospitals and infrastructure have been spent on luxury villas, casinos and payments to terrorists.

In contrast: Pakistan floods: Aid trickles in for victims as cholera spreads in Pakistan's worst-ever floods: More than 1,600 people are confirmed to have died with millions made homeless as water levels continue to rise (The Observer,

This “land” was originally delineated to include all of what is today Jordan as well as all the territory west of the Jordan River. In 1923, Britain created a new political entity, Transjordan, and suspended the right of Jews to live east of the Jordan River. And then, in an historical irony, a Saudi Arabian refugee, Abdallah, who was fleeing the Wahabis in Saudi Arabia, was given the opportunity to establish an Arab Kingdom where none had existed – only Jews.

Ezekiel 36:3,7 "Therefore, prophesy and say; So said the Lord God: Because, yea because those around you were appalled and longed for you to be an inheritance for the remnant of the nations, and you were brought up on the lips of every language and the gossip of every people." Never has this been more apparent than today, when Israel is the talk of the entire world - in the United Nations etc. and the world media. Every day the "Palestinians" and their backers, most notably President Ahmadinejad of Iran, declare that Israel must be "wiped off the map" and the land snatched from its rightful owners (Rabbi Avraham Greenbaum).

"Therefore, so said the Lord God: I have raised My hand; surely the nations that are around you-they will bear their disgrace." Things will turn out the very opposite of what Israel 's enemies imagine - as when the Arab armies that vowed the destruction of Israel in 1948, 1967 and 1973 were roundly defeated.

Psalm 83:2-7,13-19 is a prayer against Israel's enemies: "O God, have no silence, do not be silent and do not be still, O God. For behold, Your enemies stir, and those who hate You raise their heads. Against Your people they plot cunningly, and they take counsel against Your protected ones. They said, "Come, let us destroy them from [being] a nation, and the name of Israel will no longer be remembered."

For they have taken counsel with one accord; against You they form a pact. The tents of Edom (Esau-Rome) and the Ishmaelites (Muslims, Arabs), Moab and the Hagrites... Who said, "Let us inherit for ourselves the dwellings of (the House of) God."

My God, make them like thistles, like stubble before the wind.
As a fire that burns in a forest and as a flame that burns mountains. So will You pursue them with Your tempest, and with Your whirlwind You will terrify them.  Fill their faces with shame, and they will seek Your countenance, O Lord. Let them be ashamed and terrified forever; let them be disgraced and perish. Let them know that You-Your name alone is the Lord, Most High over all the earth."

The right of the Jewish people to national rebirth in its own country was recognized in the Balfour Declaration of the 2nd November, 1917, and re-affirmed in the Mandate of the League of Nations which, in particular, gave international sanction to the historic connection between the Jewish people and Eretz-Israel and to the right of the Jewish people to rebuild its National Home.

The massacre of millions of Jews in Europe - was another clear demonstration of the urgency of solving the problem of its homelessness by re-establishing in Eretz-Israel the Jewish State. On the 29th November, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution calling for the establishment of a Jewish State in Eretz-Israel; the General Assembly required the inhabitants of Eretz-Israel to take such steps as were necessary on their part for the implementation of that resolution. This recognition by the United Nations of the right of the Jewish people to establish their State is irrevocable.

On 14 May 1948, on the day in which the British Mandate over a Palestine exipired, Israel proclaimed its independence. The Jewish people’s council gathered at the Tel Aviv Museum, and approved the following proclamation, The Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel:

Less than 24 hours later, the regular armies of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq invaded the country, forcing Israel to defend the sovereignty it had regained in its ancestral homeland. As a result of this Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria, Egypt occupied the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem was divided (Joel 4:1-2, Zechariah 14:1-3). Jordan controlled East-Jerusalem included the Old City and Israel controlled the western part.
Jordan’s and Egypt’s presence in these territories was the result of their illegal invasion in 1948, in defiance of the UN Security Council.

HISTORY: The State of Israel

The Arab nations tried to destroy Israel in 1948, 1967, 1973, etc., and they are still trying to do it today. PA/Fatah, Hamas, and other terrorist organizations, are all military tools of different Arab regimes,  which are continuing the war - which their own armies once lost – supported by Norway, USA, EU, Russia, China and Iran.

It would be very beneficial for present day Israel to imbibe the message of Tzefaniah Chs. 2-3 with its commentary.

Elul Project Reveals Thirst for Torah: 150 university students, both religious and secular, will learn Torah and philosophy in the 40 days leading up to the holy day of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. This is the "Elul" project that began Sunday, in the first week of the Hebrew month of Elul.

Obama Denies Turkey Warning Report: US President denies report that he warned Turkey of danger to arms deals because of its criticism towards Israel. The White House has denied a report that the US has threatened Turkey that arms sales would be in danger due to Turkey’s tougher stance towards Israel and its vote against Iran sanctions.

F-35s Might Not Reach Israel in Time to Stop Iran: Defense commentator Yossi Melman told Xinhua that the planes, which could take more than four years to be delivered and made operational in Israel, may arrive too late to defend Israel against an Iranian attack. "When those planes will arrive (in 2015), they will have no use," said Melman.

Yiftah Shapir, director of the Military Balance Project at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv University told the news agency that the $100 million price tag per jet might rise over the next years to $150 million. He also opined that the F-35 was not as maneuverable as the F-16.

Bolton: Israel has few days (3) to strike Iran: Former American envoy to UN says Israel must attack Bushehr plant before Russian shipment of nuclear fuel arrives; However, Bolton skeptical Israel will strike, says 'I'm afraid that they've lost this opportunity'

John Bolton criticized Russia's role in the development of the plant, saying "the Russians are, as they often do, playing both sides against the middle."
"The idea of being able to stick a thumb in America's eye always figures prominently in Moscow," Bolton said.,7340,L-3938459,00.html

But this time USA sticks a thumb in God's eye. "For so said the Lord of Hosts: After glory, He sent me to the nations that plunder you (Israel), for whoever touches you (Jews) touches the apple of his eye. For, behold! I raise My hand over them (the nations), and they shall be prey for those (Israel) who serve them. And you shall know that the Lord of Hosts sent me" (Zechariah 2:12-13).

God will take vengeance on the nations.

Arms sales “part and parcel” of U.S. national 'security policy': Israel would be the first foreign country to sign an agreement to buy the F-35 outside the eight international partners that have helped develop the plane. The deal has been in negotiations since September 2008, when the Pentagon first approved the sale of 25 fighters with an option for 50 more in coming years.

News of the imminent Israeli deal comes less than a week after Canada, one of the eight development partners, announced that it will buy 65 new fighter jets from Lockheed for C$9 billion ($8.6 billion). Lockheed is developing the new F-35 fighter in cooperation with Canada and seven other partner countries: Turkey, Britain, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Australia and the Netherlands.

Singapore, Japan and South Korea are also considering buying the Lockheed F-35 fighter to modernize their air forces. O’Bryan said the United States has also given classified briefings to other countries interested in the F-35 fighter, including Greece and Belgium. Finland and Spain are also interested in the new warplane, he said. (Jul 19, 2010, Reuters).

Nobel Peace Price winner Obama's failed nuclear policy: The Nobel Peace Prize for 2009: The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Committee has attached special importance to Obama's vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons. (

But instead of working for nuclear disarmament, USA and President Barack Hussein Obama has triggered a huge arms race all over the world, due to USA's failed policy of sanctions against North Korea and Iran.

The 40 days from Rosh Chodesh Elul leading up to Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year, Day of Judgment), Days of Awe (Ten Days of Repentance) and Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) are considered to be a particularly auspicious time for Teshuvah (repentance) and forgiveness. Yom Kippur atones only for sins between man and God, not for sins against another person. To atone for sins against another person, you must first seek reconciliation with that person, righting the wrongs you committed against them if possible. That must all be done before Yom Kippur, when the decree or judgment is sealed. Repentance, prayer, good deeds (tzedakah, charity) can change the evil decree (Isaiah 55:6-9). This year Ramadan and Elul coincide with each other.

Malachi 3:22-24 "Keep in remembrance the teaching of Moses, My servant-the laws (the written and the Oral Torah) and ordinances which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel. Lo, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord, that he may turn the heart of the fathers back through the children, and the heart of the children back through their fathers-lest I come and smite the earth with utter destruction. The prophet Elijah will draw people's hearts back to God and His Torah before Judgment Day, to increase the number of people who will survive His judgment.

Judaism 101

May God speedily bring humanity back to its senses and to complete teshuva before we destroy ourselves and the whole world. May we all merit to be written in the Book of Life (Daniel 12:1-3, Exodus 32:29-34) for a happy and healthy year.
